In the beginning, there were the gods, powerful, bright and unrelenting. A list was created long before humans walked the earth, this list contained names of all celestial beings. Today we know them by many different names, but the Moon Goddess and the Sun God were always considered differently, they are the solar dieities. Though, we know this pair by their traits other than the names they were given throughout time. The names and relationships may have changed through the years of storytelling, but the title always remains the same.
Some have called The Moon Goddess:
- Luna
- Selene
- Diana
- Rihanna
- Artemis
- Triple Goddess
- Lona
She is the creator of the night which accompanies her moon, grower of fertility and in many cultures, bringer of death.
Some have called the Sun God:
- Helios
- Apollo
- Ra
- Freyr
- Grannus
- Sol
- Kresnik
He is most well known for being the god of fire and of light, but his talents stem much further. He is a solar warrior hero who also holds the gifts of fertility and healing.
As a pair, these two are the most powerful of solar deities and possibly, arguably, the strongest of the celestial beings. Without the sun there can not be a moon and without the moon, there would be a thousand days in one year on the earth plane. One cannot exist without the other, there must always be a cosmic balance.
