Seeing Finn whack Rachel so hard in the face that she got a broken nose was honestly the highlight of Keilani's week. Sure, it wasn't as if it was particularly high bar to pass. The absolute disaster that was the Night of Neglect the previous week along with her generally horrible week had led to Keilani coming into Booty Camp not in the best of moods. It didn't help that while Keilani wasn't a horrible dancer, she certainly wasn't near the level of Mike or Brittany. Or even Quinn, for that matter.
But seeing Rachel fall to the ground had honestly made it kind of worth it to her.
That was until Rachel came into Glee club and told them she was getting a nose job.
Keilani had clearly never been Rachel's biggest fan. She was never outright rude to her like Santana and Quinn were, and Keilani absolutely loved Rachel's voice, especially when she sang showtunes. But Keilani had always disliked Rachel's entitled attitude and how rarely she took other peoples feelings into consideration when making decisions. Yet that didn't mean Keilani wasn't going to try and comfort Rachel when she was so clearly insecure.
"You don't need a nose job," Keilani pointed out to Rachel, who was standing in front of the room and looking guiltier by the minute over her decision. "Your voice is amazing as is, there's a higher chance of you damaging your voice rather than improving it. I wouldn't risk it."
Getting exhausted with hearing the constant complaining and arguing in the choir room, Santana decided it was time to insert her thoughts into the discussion. "Hold up," She began, interrupting Rachel who was just about to defend herself. "Could we all just be real here for a second? So I hear Rachel's got a bit of a schnoz. I wouldn't know because, like Medusa, I try to avoid eye contact with her. But can we all just stop lying about how there aren't things we wouldn't change about ourselves? I'm sure Sam's been at the doctor's office and rifled through pamphlets on mouth reduction. I'll bet Artie's thought about getting his legs removed since he's not really using them anyways. And I'm definitely sure part of the reason Keilani studies so hard is because she's trying to figure out how to rewire her own brain so she doesn't read books at 0.5 speed."
Most of the room stared at an incredibly bored-looking Santana with a mix of horrified and annoyed expressions. Keilani felt herself slid down in her seat, almost trying to hid out of discomfort. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Sam covering his mouth with his hand and looking just as embarrassed. Keilani removed his hand from in front of his mouth and laced her fingers with his, earning a small smile out of Sam.
"That's extraordinarily rude," Tina pointed out in defense of all of her friends in the room.
"I'm keeping it real."
"My dancing bothers me," Finn admitted with a smile, trying to bring up the mood in the room. "It almost killed Rachel, but I like the way I look."
