Sophia ran as fast as her legs could carry her. She began breathing heavily as her chest struggled to move up and down as she ran. All she knew right now was that she had to get out of wherever she was. She had no idea what was going on right now. All she remembered was waking up in a coffin in an abandoned house. The first thing she did was run. She ran and ran as far as her legs could carry her. However, the dress she was wearing didn't help her, constantly getting caught in between her feet. She needed help but she didn't know who to approach. It was times like this that she wished she had her brothers around. She was the most closest to her twin brother, Damon. The two were inseparable growing up. She was also incredibly close to her younger brother, Stefan too. She looked after him like a mother when their own mother, Lilly had died.

Sophia didn't know what was going on but she had to find someone to help her. She finally ended up finding a rather large house. It was brown and had a large driveway, so she figured a lot of people may be living there. She ran over to the door, knocking on it politely and waiting for someone to answer it. The door opened and Sophia felt her heart skip a beat when she saw who it was. Her twin brother. It was Damon. He was alive and looked better than he had even been. Damon's eyes widened when he saw his twin sister standing at the door. She wore a rather old looking dress from the 1800's that was torn in multiple places. Her hair was a mess and her face was wet with tears.

"Sophia?" Damon asked, just wanting to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

"Damon." Sophia said, her eyes growing with tears.

"Oh my god." Damon said before pulling his sister into a tight hug. He couldn't believe she was standing there in the flesh. He had so many questions in his head but all he wanted was to hug his sister. "How are you here?"

The two walked into the rather large house where Sophia's eyes landed on the second Salvatore brother, Stefan. Stefan covered his mouth with his hand as he saw his older sister standing in front of him, alive.

"Soph?" Stefan asked.

Sophia smiled and nodded before they ran over to each other, Stefan hugging her tight as he twirled them around. "I missed you so much. How are you here?" Stefan asked.

"Who is this, Stefan?" Someone asked. She looked at who was asking and her eyes widened in shock.

"Katherine?" Sophia asked.

Stefan chuckled before shaking his head. "No, this is my girlfriend, Elena."

"Oh, my apologies. You look exactly like Katherine. It's very nice to meet you." Sophia said with her hand sticking out. "I'm Sophia Salvatore. I'm Damon's twin sister."

Elena shook her hand as she looked at her in shock. "Twin? Damon, you never said you had a twin."

"Stefan and I thought she was dead." Damon said.

Sophia's stomach began rumbling, making her blush in embarrassment. "Let's get you some food. Luckily, I'm round here quite a lot so there's actually some human food here." Elena said.

Sophia looked at Elena, confused with what she meant but she was starving so she decided to ask about it later. The Salvatore brothers lead her to a room where she could shower. They showed her how to operate it and left her. When she came out, she saw an outfit sitting on her bed. There was a pair of blue skinny jeans and a black tank top. Sophia was very surprised when she saw this. She was used to wearing rather large poofy dresses. She had never worn jeans before in her life. Since there was nothing else to change into, she put the outfit on before heading back downstairs. Elena made her something to eat which Sophia had eaten in minutes. Being asleep for one hundred and forty five years sure does make a girl hungry. After she had eaten, she figured it was time to explain everything. She sat in the living room with her two brothers and Elena.

"So, what happened?" Damon asked.

"I was there that night when you both got shot by our own father. In fact, father forced me to watch you both die." Sophia said, looking down, trying her hardest not to let any tears fall. "He said he was punishing you both with death and if I tried to help you, he'd kill me too."

Stefan held Sophia's hand, squeezing it to comfort her. "Then what happened?" Stefan asked.

"Knowing the fact that you both were dead, it ate away at me. Father was getting more and more aggressive with me. He would constantly watch me to make sure I wouldn't kill myself. One day, to make sure I wouldn't do anything to tarnish his name any more than it already was, he made Emily put a sleeping spell on me. She didn't want to but she had to. Today I woke up in a coffin and just kept running until I made it here."

"I'm so sorry Soph." Damon said, hugging his sister tight. "I guess Stefan and I should explain ourselves now."

"Katherine was a vampire. She had secretly fed us her blood and when we were shot, we both died." Stefan said.

"We came back however and fed until we became vampires. We went back to our house to see you so we could get you away from father but you weren't there. You were just gone. We had just assumed father had killed you after he killed us." Damon said.

"So, you're all vampires?" Sophia asked.

"Damon and I are, not Elena." Stefan said.

"We could always turn you, if you want." Damon offered to which Sophia shook her head.

"No, I don't want to be a vampire." Sophia said. The thought of having to live off blood to survive terrified her.
