Sophia woke up the next morning and saw the bed next to her was empty. She got up and got ready for the day before she went downstairs to the kitchen where she saw Klaus sitting at the table, just staring into space. He was still obviously upset about what had happened the day before.

"Hey, you okay?" Sophia asked as she placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I'm fine, love." He said.

"Clearly, you're not. Come on, fess up." She said, making him sigh.

"All my hybrids turned against me. I don't even have any more doppelganger blood to make more."

"We'll find a way, babe. We have the sword and Damon is training Jeremy to fight vampires so we can get the mark from him so we can get the cure. Everything will work out."

"I hope so." He said as he began trailing his finger down her neck, staring at it intently. Sophia clearly noticed this.

"Go on." She said. "I'll treat you because you're so upset."

Klaus smiled slightly and moved his face closer to her neck before piercing his fangs into it.

Klaus and Sophia had gone to the lake house to see Damon and Jeremy. Klaus wanted to know if there had been any updates. They needed the hunter's mark as soon as possible.

"I'm sorry, did I interrupt play time?" Klaus said as the couple walked towards Damon and Jeremy who saw them both. Sophia ran over to her twin brother and hugged him tight. It had been quite a while since she had seen him.

"How are you D?" She asked after pulling away.

"Don't even get me started, Soph." Damon said. "You and I are due for a catch up."

"I will arrange a date." Sophia smiled.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Jeremy asked Klaus.

"We're simply appreciating the sights and smells of nature." Klaus said, making Sophia roll her eyes. "Neither of which include rotting vampire flesh so I am a little concerned. How many vampires has he killed?"

"If we throw Jeremy out into the world right now, he's chum." Damon said.

"Yeah see, that's not a number. Twelve. That's a number. That's how many hybrids I slaughtered with my sword. Three. That's how many days it took to quell the urge to kill your brother after he knowingly watched as I walked into a death trap. One. That's the number of purposes you serve," Klaus said. "You are here to grow Jeremy's mark so I'll ask again. How many vampires has he killed since he's been here?"
