"welcome, seventh years!" mcgonagall boomed as she stood in front of the graduating students, "seeing as school can no longer continue, we have decided to allow you to graduate early. it has been the greatest honor to work with all of you these past years and it is incredibly heartbreaking to see you all go."

y/n smiled widely as she looked up towards draco. he gave her hand a squeeze and leaned down to kiss her cheek.

"now, typically a grand feast would take place, however," mcgonagall paused as she looked towards hogwarts. it was still broken and crumbled and brought back many painful memories. "for obvious reasons, the feast has been cancelled. but, of course, we are doing all we can to ensure that you still get the graduation you all deserve. behind me are the boats that took you to the school your very first year. you will be taking them to the hogwarts express for your last ride. just know, that each and every one of you hold a very special place in my heart and i hope to see you all soon."

the students erupted into cheers and screamed loudly with happiness and contentment. draco cheered too, and for the first time in almost two months, he looked genuinely happy.

the students boarded the small boats, y/n sitting with draco and blaise, and took off down the lake back towards the train they had all grown to love.

y/n pulled a small flask from her bag and began to open it.

"drinking already? it's still daylight." blaise said through a chuckle, making y/n playfully roll her eyes.

"actually, it's strawberry lemonade. marley's favorite drink." she smiled and looked at the two before pouring the liquid into the dark water, "this one's for you, my sweet girl. i hope you're celebrating up above."

"she's always looking down at you, you know that right?" blaise said as he rested a friendly hand on her knee.

the girl smiled and nodded, "of course."

draco smiled as well and wrapped his arm around her shoulder, "who would've thought that this is where we were gonna end up."

"it's crazy." blaise said as he turned his head to look at all of the other boats, "almost doesn't seem real. what are your plans?"

draco turned his head to look at his girlfriend, "i just plan on following this one for the rest of my life."

"with the love you two share, it's weird to think that at first you absolutely hated each other." blaise laughed, causing the others to laugh as well.

"i never hated draco, i just thought he was a prick. but he eventually grew on me, and i just realized that i was the thing he was missing." y/n teased as she gently nudged draco with her shoulder.

he shook his head, "i never hated you, either. in fact, i almost admired you. you were the only one that ever stood up to my pathetic bullying."

"yes, but merely because it was pathetic."

they all laughed again and draco kissed her cheek once more, "i'm so in love with you, have i ever told you that?"

she blushed slightly and stared at him with so much love and admiration in her eyes, "every day."

draco picked her up and wrapped her legs around his waist as she squealed and held on tightly to his neck.

he rested her on the kitchen counter and stood in between her legs as he looked up into her eyes. she played with the hair on the back of his neck and leaned down to kiss him softly.

"marry me." he said as he traced gentle patterns on her thighs with his fingers.

"you already know i will." she said through a smile.

he shook his head, "i mean, marry me now."

she looked at him for a moment and furrowed her eyebrows, "now? but we don't have anything planned."

he grabbed her hands and kissed her cheek, "just say 'i do.'"

"i do." she laughed and rolled her eyes.

it was silent for a moment, he just stared at her as he took in her features. his heart was so full of love and it was such a foreign feeling that it scared him. he was scared that one day she would leave like everyone else, that she would run and give up on him.

little did he know, she felt the same way. even though she had grown up in a loving household, she never felt the way that he made her feel. he made her feel euphoric and appreciated. she knew that she would be okay, as long as she always had him at her side.

"you mean the absolute world to me." she said softly as she rested a hand on his cheek, gently caressing his skin with her thumb.

he leaned into her touch and shut his eyes for a moment.

"thank you." he whispered, it was so quiet she almost hadn't heard it.

"for what?"

"teaching me how to love. making me actually happy. helping me grow into the man you deserve. not leaving me like everyone else. just, just being you."

she smiled adoringly at his words. "you'll never have to feel like anything less than perfect again, draco. because to me, you're so much more than that."

he kissed her lips again, melting his to match hers perfectly.

"i don't think i'll ever be able to repay you for making me feel alive again." he said.

she laughed gently as her eyes began to water, "you're going to make me cry, you bitch."

he laughed as well and plucked her from the counter, slinging her over his shoulder. she gasped loudly and hit his back playfully, insisting that he put her down.

"can i tell you something?" he asked as he walked into their shared bedroom.

"of course." she said, her voice slightly muffled due to the position she was in.

"i wanna make a baby."

he threw her onto the bed as she widened her eyes, "absolutely not. can we at least wait, i don't know, like 10 years?"

he smirked, "fine. then i want to practice."

she rolled her eyes as she chuckled, "why are you always horny?"

"have you seen yourself? your smile makes me hard."

she raised an eyebrow as she stood up. he watched her, examining every move she made carefully. she stood in front of him and used her hand to press against his chest, pushing him down onto the soft mattress.

she stood in front of him as she began to unbutton his white shirt. he watched her fingers as they trailed down his chest but she was quick to use a hand to lift his chin. "look at me." she said as she began to unbutton his shirt once more.

she pulled his shirt off of him, running gentle hands down his skin. he shivered slightly under her touch and she smiled, knowing that she was the only one that could make him feel like that.

he stood up and removed her shirt as well, staring deeply into her eyes as she stood frozen, staring back. he kissed her lips and soon began to trail down, kissing her neck and her shoulders. he lowered his body and began to pull her pants off, staring up at her face as he did so.

he pulled himself back up slowly, running a soft finger up her leg. when he had stood up fully he wrapped a cold hand around her neck and he tilted his head, "perfect. absolutely perfect."
