Unknown POV

Me and my sister get out of the car, making our way up to our porch, knowing mom and dad will be inside waiting for us.

"Who knew a ski trip would be so exhausting?" She asks me and I laugh and shake my head, holding the door open for her as she unlocks the door and opens it. We're met with the smell of dinner cooking and the two of us grin, knowing dad always makes sure we feel welcome when we get home.

"Dad! You're favorite son is home!" I call out and there's a groan from my sister which I ignore.

"Only the favorite by default." He calls back and I mock him as we set out stuff by the stairs and my sister laughs at me. I reach out to smack her upside the head but she moves out of my way.

'Just bite her and get it over with. She won't be missed.' My wolf tries to convinces me and I snort, knowing that my sister, training to be a warrior would tear my head off if I even tried to take a nip at her.

Ahhh. Sibling love.

After our stuff is near the stairs, the two of us make our way towards the kitchen and find mom sitting in the counter trying to eat from the pot on the stove while dad chops up some onions and bats her wandering hand away. When they hear us come in they both turn towards us with a smile that makes me grin.

"It's so nice being the favorite child." I say, basking in the light, and my sister snorts and pushes me, almost making my stumble.

Mom jumps down from the counter and the two of them come towards us before Mom stops in her tracts, her whole face contorting into one of pain and disbelief as she stared at us. Dad looks like he sees a ghost, his nose working over time as he sniffs the air around us.

My sister and I look at each other in confusion before mom finally opens her mouth.

"No. No thats impossible. He can't be-"

"Mom?" My sister calls out and our mother shakes her head as if she can't even talk to us right now, but dad is quick to pick up the slack.

"Where have you guys been?"

I frown since they both know where we've been, but answer the question anyways, because something tells me I shouldn't be a smart ass right now. Even if it is my best quality. "We just got off of the bus and came straight home."

"Mom what's wrong?" My sister tries again.

"Mangos and Sunflowers. It's impossible. No no, hes.... he can't be." Is all she says and all is quiet before she takes a shuddering breath and frowns, tilting her head at us as tears come down her cheeks. "You smell like him. You smell like Robin." She tells us and I frown.

"But.... Robin is dead. He died in the fire." I say, not understanding, and chills run up my spine as I think about it.

"It smells like.... like he was on your bus. Close to you. It smells like... Robin is alive." Dad says, finally speaking back up, and the world feels like a bomb was dropped on it.

Our dead little brother is....... alive?
