Meeting and Trips

Jason's POV

     After our door got installed and Clary left, Nick and I decided to tern in for the day and get some homework done.

     Okay Ryan decided it, and Nick said that he didn't like it because I still smelled like school. Only a promise for him to scent me later settled him down enough for us to go our separate ways.

    I'm sitting on the floor of my room with papers spread out around me as I try to focus. It's a weird thought to have me on the floor, thinking about success instead of just passing. But I know that if I want to help the two of us get away from here then I need to be able to help provide for us. I actually have someone to work for now.

   The thought makes me smile a little bit as I go over my homework and I can feel Ryan smirking at me, but I ignore the smug wolf as I continue to work.

    And then of course, things have to get a little awkward.

    There's a knock on my door and I feel mysel glance at the new one along my wall even though Nya and Cody confirmed that no one else could see it. "Come in." I call towards my door and I tear my eyes away from the secret one just as my mom comes in with her hand on her hip.

     "I haven't seen you kids in over a well for longer than a second. We're having dinner as a family tonight and we're going to catch up. Dinner in thirty." She says and before I can respond, she's gone.

     'Oh fuck.' I groan, laying back on my floor and I hear her go to tell Clarissa and Nick the same thing though to the runt, she's a lot more sweet than with us other two. As soon as I hear her go down stairs, I hear two knocks one from Nicks room and one form the hallway and I tell
the both of them to come in.

     Nick's face heats up in a blush when he sees Clary but he still makes his way timidly over towards me and sits to my right as Clair takes up the bed.

     "Why the hell do we say?" She asks and even Ryan is at a lose for words but for once, it's Nick that speaks up first.

     "I want to go on the ski trip. I want you to come." He tells me, tugging at my sleeve a little bit and I sigh in relief, glad that it wasn't going to turn into a fight and that he wants me there anyway. I nod my head and take a breath at what I'm about to say.

       "I am. Luis is going to be my cover. But we need you there Clary." I tell her and she raises her brow in question. "My monthly is coming first. In two weeks right after we leave. I need someone to help keep us apart besides Luis."

     There's silence throughout the room and Nick speaks up, his hand faking from my shirt to wrap around his body.

   "I forgot," He admits and bits his lip. "Would it be better if you stayed?"

     "I'm not staying." I tell him, my voice stuff with finality though I don't tell him why. But I know the reason. I don't want to have to stay here and worry about someone else touching him, hurting him, trying to take advantage of him in that state. I don't want Nathan to get that chance. But I'm not ready.

      "I'm going to let you two talk a little bit. We can bring up the trip at dinner." Cory sayd before she gets off the bed and escapes.

      'Smart girl.' Ryan says and I roll my eyes though I agree. If I could run away from all the difficulties then I would be right behind her with my tail tucked between my tail.

     When it's just Nick and I, I slowly let my hand cole out of the pocket of safety between my legs and make my way over to his chin, raising it up so that he can see the smile on my face. "I still smell like school, huh?" I ask hun and he scrunches you his nose.

     "I don't like it:" He tells me with a pout, his small pink lips poking out and I chuckle before nodding my head, my hand still on his face relishing in the softness of his skin.

      "How do we fix it then?" I ask hoping to get him in a better mood and he has to think about it.

     "Would you... would you wear my cologne on your jacket?" He asks me in a whisper and I think about it, studying the flush that rises on to his cheeks once he gets the softly asked questions out.

       "At school. And you can spray my pillow." I allow and I watch in adoration as his whole face lights up. "Now come on, lest go to dinner."

      With a huff form hun the two of us get up and leave my room before going down stairs and by the time we head up for the night, the ski trip is confirmed.

      The three of us find ourselves in the hallway, huddled together as we look at each other. "Winter break can't come fast enough." I breath and the two of them give me a nod before we say goodnight and end up in our beds, thinking, waiting and eventually, even sleeping.
