Nicolas' POV

    What?

    What?

    What?

     Jace isn't my brother?

Mom and Dad aren't mom and dad?

     Clary?

'Nicky it's okay.' Benny's voice is in my ear as soon as my breathing starts to speed up, my lungs working as fast as my mind, though I try to slow both of them don't to think.

'I-I can't.' I say back, and my head starts to turn wildly, look around as if the answers might be in the air, and I blanch, almost gagging as my head bends in all the wring angels. I know there are voices talking around me, but they all get tuned out as I start to panic. Benny is right there talking me through, but his voice is getting more and more faint.

"Let me the fuck OUT!" A growl louder than anything I ever heard gets let out, shaking my bones to the core, and once theyre done, they settle, my eating clearing up as I recognize the one voice that would lead me out of anything.

    Jace.

My chest stops aching and my head clears, air flowing into my lungs freely as I gasp for air. There's the sound of metal behind me and a chair scraping, but before I can open my eyes and look, warm hands circle my face, one on either side of my cheek, and I sigh my body relaxing into the chair.

I hear Jace's sigh if relief, and feel his body shift to move closer towards me, one of his hands moving to gently push my head against his lower abdomen to lean in which I do happily.

Once I'm settled and no longer freaking out, Jason moves his hand to place it on my head, scratch my scalp softly, and my eyes stay closed as I allow Jace to handle this for me.

'You okay?' I feel the presence of Benny once more, his mind rubbing against my own in solitude and I smile slightly.

'Thank you for not leaving me.' I tell the little Omega wolf that's gotten so strong.

He doesn't answer, but I can feel the connection to my wolf growing stronger, tighter and thicker than ever before, the peace flowing into my body at the sensation. It's rare for a wolf to have troubles connecting with their wolf for so long, and when it happens it's only Omegas. I thought Benny and I were destined to never be one, but here we are.

Jace sticking a wet finger in my ear brings me back to the present and I whine, rubbing my ear and slapping him in the stomach as he pulls away to look at me, the look in his eyes serious despite his soft hands and easy demeanor.

"You okay, runt?" He asks me softly and I nod, pulling him back in to hug his torso which makes him laugh before turning back towards the people claiming to be my family.

This time I listen in on the conversation around me, knowing this isn't the time to be freaking out.

"How do I know you're telling the true and you're not trying to hurt us. We have someone who's tried already and I wouldn't put it past him to use someone in our own pack." Jason says, and I cringe when I think about the possibility of Nathan doing something like this.

He was my friend. Someone I enjoyed talking to and seeing.

    I was so wrong.

"I have pictures that I kept over the years of him! And his birthday certificate!" I hear the lady answer Jason, her voice thick with tears, and I frown, thinking if she is lying, she's way too good of an actor.

"His birth mark. The inside of his right thigh, right in the middle, he has a birthmark shaped like a banana." The man's voice is deep but friendly, and I feel Jason stiffen at the same time I do at the words. I hear shuffling, and turn my head to see the woman going through boxes along shelves in the side of the room.

And when I look around, I see a stuffed animal that's sitting on top of another box a few feet away. And for some reason, it looks... familiar.

"Here! Here!" Turning my attention back towards the lady, she rushes over until she's about two feet away from Jace and I, two papers in hand, one big, one small, as she offers them to us. "Please just look at it okay. M-my name is Sara. I'm so sorry we kidnapped you, we didn't know how much anyone knew or if Jason was a danger."

Jace doesn't accept her apology verbally, but he reaches out and grabs the papers, looking them over for a few second before he gives them to me, his face blank and almost unreadable.

Almost because I know him like the back of my hand. And he's surprised and worried. Very worried.

I take the papers in hand and lean back, biting my lip in nerves, Benny peaking as well as we turn to look at the words printed before us.

Robin Wilson, brown hair, blue-green eyes. Six pounds and two ounces. Scent: Mangos and Sunflowers.

My breath stalls in my throat as I look at the second picture, but my mouth softens into a tiny smile when I see a baby with that same description at a few weeks old. With a hesitance I wish I didn't have, I realize that the baby looks just like.... me.

Which means that they might be right.

    I'm not Jason's brother, I'm his Mate.

    Clary's not my sister.

     And my parents.... are liars.
