Nicolas' POV

The last bell of school rings and even though it wasn't the best day ever, I still feel better than I did this morning.

Jason wasn't at lunch, but Nathan and I sat with Shelley and her girlfriend and they tried their best to keep among me giggle and laugh even though milk came out of my nose. They thought it was funny but I poured because it hurt a little bit.

I wait until most of my class is gone before I pick up my books and leave the room, trying to keep away from everyone else.

'Benny?' I go to ask for my wolf for the tenth time today, but he doesn't answer yet again, and the realization that he might not talk to me ever because Jason and I are Mates makes my eyes tear up a little bit as I walk close to the wall to avoid the tall strong people.

I sigh as I finally get to my locker and set my books on the ground. After I get my door open I go to reach down for my text books but when I look down, they're already being handed to me by Nathan.

"Hey. You okay?" He asks me and I smile at him broadly, hapoy to see him after such a long day.

"Yeah." I answer him and he smikes as he goes to hand me my books to put into my book bag so I dont have to worry about them later.

"Good." He says and we begin walking towards the front door and the parking lot after I get my locker closed and shut, the two of us walking side by side as we make our way out of the school. "I still can't believe you're sixteen. I remember a few months ago when we met I thought you were a middle schooler in the wrong place." He teases and I stick out my tongue at him as we squeeze through a door.

" You're a bully. I'm not even that small." I argue and all he does is look amused as he mockingly agrees.

"Yeah sure." We turn right on the sidewalk and towards the car, but before we get the Nathan stops me and looks down at me with red ish cheeks that makes my own cheeks heat up, though I don't know why. "So I'll see you at six?" He asks me and I nod my head making hun grin and nod back.

"Bye." I call to him, waving as I go to step away and he smiles as he waved back before walking backwards a few steps and turning around to head towards his own car in the other side of the parking lot.

I walk the rest of the way toward the car and pull open the back door, though it's only Clary sitting in the front, Jason still no where to be found.

I put on my seatbelt and when I look up, Clary is turned around smiling at me making me avoid her eyes at the smirk on her face, scared that she knows something she's not supposed to about me and Jason. "So, who was that?" She asks me and I raise my eyes back to hers.

"Oh. That was Nathan." I tell her and she nods her head with a smile.

"Good catch." She tells me and I finally see Jason coming towards the car, hands deep in his pockets as he walks though I'm focused on Clary to pay tht much attention.

"Claire, no! He's just my friend, okay?" I ask her just as Jason opens his door and slides in, turning in the car as he pulls on his seatbelt.

My sister just laughs and winks at me before turning around. "Sure, Nicky. That's what we all say." She tells me and I huff as I look out the window, even as I feel curious dangerous eyes on me from the drivers seat as we pull off.

"Oh, I can't believe you're going out, Nicky. Are you sure it's not too soon?" Momma asks me and I turn around with red cheeks as I look at her, hoping that she won't make me stay home.

"Mom, I'm sixteen now. It's just to the movies and to the diner." I tell her, giving her my best puppy dog eyes and after a few seconds she's smacks her teeth and sighs, though she doesn't look too happy about it.

"Okay, okay. Just be safe. And if your phone dies, Link someone so that they know." She scolds me but I'm too happy to be mad about it.

"Okay!" I say as I finish getting ready, my outfit a flannel one with my favorite skinny skins, making my blush as I think about how well I look in them. There's a beep outside and I turn to mom with a smile. "He's here mom. I gotta go." I tell her shyly and she stands off of my bed and gives me a big hug she doesn't let me out of for a full minute.

"Okay go before I change my mind again." She says and I squeal in joy before I'm leaving my room and carefully going down the stairs, knowing my balance isn't the best because of my Omega genes.

When I get to the bottom of the stairs, the kitchen is empty and I make my quick escape out of the house, happy that I didn't have to face Jason's mean eyes.

I close the door behind me and all calmly to the car sitting at the street so I don't get too excited. When I slide in I find Nathan sitting on the other side with a smile. "You ready?" He asks me and I blush before turning away to nod, hoping that today will at least end off good.

uh oh. How many of you know what's coming? okay, I'm going to say it, I like this book better than Enchanted but Ares will always have my heart. I also think I will make the length of it "normal" length so I can get all of my ideas in it without crowding.
