Chapter 78: Let Her Explain

Someone knocks on the door I go and open in and I see Scarlett standing there holding a bottle of alcohol and a joint, I roll my eyes and say "what do you want?" she raises her hands up in defense and says "chill I just came to invite you to the party" "no thanks were going out" then Demi comes and says "babe who" and she sees Scarlet and says "Scarlet what are you doing here?" "I just came to invite you and Alex to the party" Demi says "I'm sorry but were going out" she smirks and says "oh come on just for a little while" Demi looks at me and I say "we made plans already babe" Scarlett says "oh come on Alex don't be a party pooper" I look at Demi and she says "maybe we can go for a little while?" I say "Demi come on you can't be around that stuff" crap that didn't come out right and I can tell that she was hurt by what I said and she says with a annoyed tone "I can be around it I just won't do it" I sigh and Demi wraps her arms around my waist and she says "come on Alex we haven't been to a party in a while" I sigh again and say "fine but just for a bit" she smiles and says "yes I promise" Scarlett cheers and I just glare at her, I have a feeling that this is going to turn out to be a horrible night I can see it happening already.

Alex's Pov:

We walk over to the house and as soon as we walked in it right away smelled like alcohol and weed and the music was really loud and people were everywhere it was just a huge mess, I look over to Demi and I can tell that she is uncomfortable and I say "babe are you sure you want to be here right now?" she says "yes I'm sure" we walk over to were the drinks are at and Scarlett says "vodka" she hands a cup to Demi and I and say "no thanks" she says "oh come on party pooper" I groan "no I don't want it" she says "fine whatever what about you Demi?" she thinks about it and says "eh I guess a cup wouldn't hurt" Scarlett cheers and says "woo that's right Demi" I look at her shocked and say "Demi are you serious?" she says "come on babe one cup won't hurt" I say "Demi you have been sober for 3 years are you sure you want to throw all that away" she says annoyed once again "one cup won't hurt" I nod my head when she drinks some and I was really disappointed I couldn't believe she did it, I walk away from her and I just go and sit down on the couch that was surprisingly empty and I take out my phone and text Lauren "hey um just tell the chef to go home looks like we might be here a while please pay him and I will pay you as soon as I get back" and I sent the message and well tonight Demi and I were going to have dinner at Lauren's house I was going to give her my third surprise which was to give her a promise ring but obviously that isn't going to happen, so I just sit there looking through my phone Demi comes and she opens my legs and goes in between them and wraps her arms around my neck and looks me in the eyes and says "please don't be mad at me" and she pouts I sigh and say "I'm not I'm just" Scarlett comes and says "here you go Demi" and she gives her another cup of vodka and I say "what happened to only one cup?" she looks down and says "I um" Scarlett butts in and says "dam Alex relax Demi can do whatever she wants" I say "stay the fuck out of this" Demi says "Alex stop it" "Demi you were 3 years Sober you promised you wouldn't drink again"

She let's go of me and says "I didn't promise anything to you Alex ok so just fuck off" ouch that hurt a lot and I say "you may have not promised anything to me but you made a promise for yourself your family and for your Lovatics" I nod my head and just walk away and head outside and sit down in one of the chairs, then I receive a text from Dallas that says "hey hope everything went well we love you guys tell Demi we are proud of her" I sigh and say to myself "if only they knew" I reply back and an hour goes by and I went back inside to keep an eye on Demi, of course she continued to drink more so by now she was drunk, she danced with all these guys right in front of my face, right now she is dancing with Scarlett very sexually and I about to snap but then I see that they were about to kiss and I say "that's it" I walk over to them and grab Demi from her hand and say "let's go" of course she doesn't listen so I pick her up and throw her over my shoulder and she starts hitting my back and says "Alex put me down" she continues hitting my back but I ignore her, we reach the car and I put her down and she says "what the hell is wrong with you, ass hole" and I just stay quiet she continues and says "I was having a good time and you just came and ruined everything" I continued to not say anything because I knew she was drunk but then she says "I hate you so much" I put her in the car and drive her to her parent's house and well of course throughout the whole ride she kept hitting me and telling me things that would break my heart piece by piece.
