I threw my severed ear into a bucket, a tiny metal chip sticking out from my earlobe.

"Gross." I thought to myself. It clinked at it landed on the pail's floor. I retracted the small knife and ran through Grace Field's front doors, the cold night wind running through my hair.

"Goodbye, home."

I navigated my way to the blue fence, Don's backpack peaking out from behind a tree. "Is everyone here?" I asked. Tiny faces started to pop out from the bushes, Ray standing awestruck between the family. "Jemima, Yvette, Mark, Chris..." He muttered, counting all the smiling faces. "So many people..?" I grabbed his hand, pulling him deeper into the forest. "Compliment me later, Ray. We have to go now." Anna bandaged both our left ears up and we took off, heading to the wall. Emma was already there, setting up the rope.

Don and Gilda escalated the wall first, dropping numerous other ropes, as we made our way up in threes. "Where's the four year olds?" Ray asked, carrying Alicia upwards. "I left them behind." I replied. "I decided that we couldn't take them." He scoffed warmly, already understanding my plan. "But we're coming back?" He grinned. I tugged on the rope, Emma giving me a secure thumbs up from the top. "Within two years, we are definitely coming back." We picked up the cords, running towards the cliff Norman mentioned.

"Aren't we going to the bridge?" Ray called from behind. As he said that, a siren blared through all six regions of the farm.

"ATTENTION ALL EMPLOYEES OF THIS PLANTATION.

A GROUP OF SIXTEEN ESCAPEES ARE ATTEMPTING JAILBREAK.THREE OF THE SIXTEEN ARE HIGH QUALITY. THEIR NUMBERS ARE 81194. 63194. AND 70293*.

BRING THEM BACK ALIVE. DO NOT HESITATE TO KILL ANY OF THE OTHERS."

"It came off earlier than expected!" Emma cried, our group ignoring the blares. I clenched my fists, taking deeper breaths. "It doesn't matter! They'll be guarding the bridge! We just have to be quick!" Our pace increased slightly, as Gilda caught sight of a small peak of land, inched just slightly closer the plantation's wall. "Over there!" She shouted, faltering to a stop.

I handed Don one of the spools of cord as he took a large heavy rock from out of his backpack. "What are you-?" Ray stopped mid sentence, as Don chucked the stone into the trees across. It wrapped gently and securely around a large branch. Nat had already scaled the trees behind us, tying the other end. "We're good to go!" He called. At the head of everyone's backpack was a clothing hangar. Ray watched silently as Don hung the joint of it on the rope, leaping into the crevice. He slid gracefully, falling into a bush.

Lannion and Thoma pulled out their toy rockets, filled with carbonated water. Ropes were already tied to them, as they pumped the toys fill with air, launching straight at Don. He caught them both, securing in total three lines. Nat jumped onto the wall, taking out his hangar. "See you on the other side!" He chimed, sliding down the line. Mark, Dominic and Alicia followed, laughing as they glided downwards. Next was Chris, Rossi and Yvette.

Jemima burst into tears. "I-I'm sorry you g-guys! B-But when I-I opened my eyes, I-I realized there was a-a cliff down there! W-What if I-I fall?" Ray, who was staring off into space patted her head warmly. "It's okay, Jemima. I can go down with you." He turned to me. "Can you tie Jemima to me with an extra rope?" I nodded, securing the little girl to Ray's chest. "It'll be fun, Jemi! Like a slide!" Their string dipped a little bit, but they arrived at the bottom safely. Ray gave me a thumbs up. Thoma and Lannion, also quivering in their boots, saw Jemima and the others laughing. "L-Like a slide." They nodded to each other, taking the ride down. Anna and Gilda took the next two down, leaving Emma and I at the wall.

An incredible heat blazed behind us, as we watched Grace Field House tumble to the ground.

"I'll miss that place." Emma said, pulling out her hangar.

I agreed, nodding my head. "But I'm happier here. With everyone. Free, even if we struggle we're going to be free."

We raised aligned the lines to the joint of our hangars, ready to leap down. Ray smiled at me from the cliff, his arms ready to catch me.

"Emma! y/n!" A strained, gasping voice cried out from a corner of the wall.

I heard Emma click her tongue, noticing the violet eyed woman, painfully calling our names.

"Isabella." I whispered.
