"I hate violence. Violence between species, violence within them." I folded my hands, smiling at the man in front of me. "And I've come to hate you especially, uncle." The white haired man exchanged the grin, yet the glare from his ice blue eyes said otherwise. He extended his arm in a disdainful manner. I grimaced, taking it and accepting the diplomatic handshake. "I thought it was the boy. 22194. I wonder how you would have fared in Lambda, my dear niece." I smirked. His hands were cold. "I would have been gone in a week, that's for sure." He frowned, pulling away. "I believe that you wouldn't turn yourself in without reason, right, y/n?" I nodded. My scheme was going according to plan.
"Why do your stupid ideas always start with you being bait?" Zack had hissed, ruffling my hair. I laughed, shoving his hand away. Everyone looked at me with uncertainty, Emma and Nigel looking the most disturbed out of them all. They didn't like the thought of abandoning me, just like the battle against Bayon. I grabbed their hands, pulling them into a hug. "It'll work, trust me. It's not an offer he can refuse."
I snapped out of my daydream, Peter Ratri watching me silently. I opened my mouth, speaking the words I know would rattle him most. "I intend to claim my rightful place as James Ratri's heir." His eyes widened, showing shock for only a second. His hands tightened into strained fists, his chest taking a deep breath in and an even deeper exhale out. He replied, taking a sip from his teacup. "You mean as the head of the Ratri Clan?" I nodded, counting the demon and human guards stationed at the entrance and exit of the room. I expected there to be security around Peter Ratri, but this was far less than I'd thought. At the door on the left, there were four guards stationed. Six were inside the room. And I don't know how many are on the right. While I distracted Peter Ratri, the rest of my group would be secretly and silently infiltrating Grace Field House. The first target was the control room. They would use the information they can gather from there to rescue our family. I told them to secure the house, and leave me for last. Worst comes to worst, I'll die, but I've already pledged this soul away. All I can do now is make a commotion.
"You see, uncle, my father wrote a will. As does every head of a noble family, correct?" I tried my best to imitate his ignorant, cocky tone. I wanted to get on his nerves. It seemed to work as the man's grip on his little white cup seemed to tremble, slightly agitated. I smirked, continuing. "And in that will, he states that he leaves all the Ratri's assets to his only child. That would be me, y/n." As vile as they were, the Ratris were a diplomatic family. They cared only about status and wealth, and the quietest means to achieve it. In my pocket, I held the final will and testament of my father, which I intended to use as a trump card. The guards, who had pledged allegiance to the head of the Ratri Clan had started to stir, whispering to each other. The man in front of me glanced at them with a sense of panic. "You're lying." He replied, placing the teacup down. I shook my head no, smirking. "Please resign peacefully, Peter Ratri." "Where is this will, y/n? Please, materialize it and we'll review it together." I pulled out the paper from my pocket, keeping a watchful gaze on him as I unfolded it. "Here you go, uncle. My father's words. My father's handwriting. My father's signature. This place belongs to me." And just like I planned, he snatched the paper from my hands, ripping it into pieces. He looked like a maniac. No better than wild demon. He whipped around, turning to the guards. "Take her as a prisoner! Her lies, her poisonous mouth and vile words. They do not leave this room."
Yeah, all part of the plan. He won't kill me. Not yet. Before he threatens my life, he'll bargain. And because he's bargaining, he'll need extra security. He's paranoid of the guards. I can tell. He's sweating and biting his nails. Now, he's going to call for extra security to watch the security. He picked up a walkie talkie, asking for said security. I smirked. All. According. To. Plan. The new guards had burst into the room, barricading the door behind them. "There's been a breach in security, sir!" They shouted, the other tightening their grips on their weapons. "How long ago?" Peter Ratri hissed, clicking his tongue. "More than thirty minutes, they took ahold of the security room first and interfered with our communications. The hostages are already gone." As he finished the sentence, the lights flickered off, loud thudding and the rattling of gunfire approaching the room. A loud explosion broke the door behind me, a familiar group of people gunning down the demons and knocking out the men. "y/n!" A black haired boy rushed to my side, untying the binds on my wrists and ankles. Ray's hands were warm, gently rubbing the bruises the rope left on my joints. He gave me a pistol and I frowned, knowing what I had to do. I pointed it straight to my uncle's pale forehead. I looked pitifully at the man bound before me. "It's over, Ratri. We won."
