Fear and doubt overpowered your love and determination.

You paid for the sins of your weak resolve.

I thought she wanted to kill us. To capture us.

But Isabella was more afraid for our well beings than we were.

In her own way, she was still trapped, imprisoned in her own fear of being a cattle child.

"Emma, y/n." She said, gasping for air. Her usual graceful presence was rusty and smeared. Her nightgown was ripped at the ends, from her own scaling of the wall. Strands of hair flew from her bun. "I- I can make you both Mothers! I can make sure that both of you live l-long, happy lives!"

"It doesn't matter how long our lives are." Emma's eyes were ablaze in the black sky. She looked like a fire. "If we live like you, we'd live in the past. We wouldn't be growing up at all." Emma pulled out a small faded blue pocketbook. Isabella's eyes widened at the sight of it. She fell to her knees, grasping her head. "If you wanted to live for Leslie, you should have lived free. Instead, you became to prisoner to your memories."

Emma shoved the book back inside her sweater, adjusting her hangar. "Goodbye, mom." The line zipped underneath her, Gilda and Don breaking her fall.

Isabella pulled on her hair tie, letting her black hair flow freely in the wind. Her eyes were shining underneath the stars, tears falling from her face. She glanced at the landing, smiling at Ray. "I can't convince you, can I?" She scoffed warmly. I nodded. "Then, take care of him, okay?" I gripped my hangar tightly, glancing at the black haired boy on the other end of the cliff.

Was this really the best decision? Was this a good choice?

Ray... Emma... Don... Gilda...

"You loved him, right? Leslie?" The panicked faces of the kids morphed into horror. Tears ran down their cheeks. Don grit his teeth, holding out his hand, as if telling me to jump. Jump or he would cut the line. I lifted the hangar from the rope, throwing it into the abyss. The boy shouted, ripping the line apart. Ray's eyes were widened in shock. He was trembling. Isabella looked as equally confused. "That's why I lived. Why I chose to become a mother. Because I loved him. I needed his memory to live on forever because I was the only one who could."

"Then, if I become a mother, Norman won't be forgotten?" She grinned, opening her hand.

Out there... They can take the chance. Gilda is smart, Emma is strong. Ray will fight. But what if the chance... just turned out to be... nothing..? I took the pen out of my pocket, chucking it to the other side of the ravine. It fell right in front of Ray's feet. He shook his head in disbelief, the orange haired girl tugging his shirt. I watched them disappear into the trees, Ray limply grabbing the pen.

"I love him. I love Ray, I love Norman, I love Emma, Don, Gilda, Yvette, Dominic, Jemima. Every single one of them."

"And they'll live forever with you." She said, patting my shoulder. Mom gently pulled me into a hug, cradling me in her arms. "This is eternal, y/n." She whispered in my ear. "We are forever."
