"You're his toy, y/n. I really hope you can prove you're not."

----------------------

I watched the clock impatiently. It was past 10:30 and everyone had already gone to bed. Unfortunately for me, I was told that a certain stupid idiot would come by later at 10 pm.

10 pm. I kicked my blankets, read a book, stared at the mirror.

The next time I looked at the clock it was a quarter past 11.

"Whatever," I grumbled to myself, turning off the lights and tucking myself in.

I closed my eyes and felt a tingling on my back.

Someone was calling my name.

I opened my eyes and I was in... the forest?

For some reason, I didn't question it, as I started to wander around the empty fields of our home. The sky was a mixture of black, purple, green and blue. It was rather beautiful, but I couldn't bring myself to admire the scenery. Something felt off.

A small disembodied voice echoed from the trees.

"y/n?" It said my name. Was that what I heard?

Abandoning all common sense, I followed it, looking for it's origin.

"I'm over here, y/n." It sounded cheerful, soft, as if it was coming from a child. "Come play with us!" I heard the soft trickling of the creek. A pair of yellow pigtails stuck out from behind a tree.

"Connie!" I exclaimed, relieved to see her. I didn't remember why.

"y/n, come play with me! I want bouncies!" Her figure ran away, deeper into the trees. Her voice continued to beckon me to follow her. A wind started to pick up, but I wanted to see her. "Why does my heart hurt so much? " I thought, grabbing my shirt. I couldn't remember anything.

Why was I here?

Where did Connie go?

Where is everyone else?

"Connie, if you want to play, don't run away." I laughed, chasing after her. The stream of water became louder and louder. I followed her mindlessly until a large squish echoed from underneath my feet. Connie stopped too. She hadn't turned to look at me once. I whipped my head downwards, a pool of red seeping out of the grass.

"What the hell?" I lifted my foot, the red liquid disappearing back into the dirt.

"It's probä̴̦̜̘͖̬́͒͊͊̍͠b̵̪͚̹̓̂l̴̗͕̈͑͂͛͌̑͒̚͝ý̴̰̞͌ the rḭ̶̬͗́͋͆͌́v̶̨̲͕̫̺̣̿͛͌͝eŗ̷̨͈͋̂̈́͛̔..." The childlike voice echoed in different tones. It didn't sound like it was coming from Connie anymore.

"Come on, y/n, let's play!" All the voices snapped back into one, yet they still emanated from the wildlife around me and not Connie's mouth. Y'know, where voices usually come from.

The little girl ran off again and I followed. I watched her climb onto a familiar pile of rocks, the beginning of the creek. She disappeared behind a tree, laughing. Once I had stepped on the shore, she stopped. I glanced at the hill. The clear water slowly turned red, the thin substance becoming thick and sticky.
