🍴 My Muse || Chapter Seventy Seven pt. 2

"They're cute, aren't they, Nous?" The creepily skinny demon resembled a skeleton, holding a squirming Violet in it's hand. The other one, Nous, laughed, agreeing with his partner. Sandy and Paula were loading their guns, using Violet as a distraction. Their elongated black masks hung below their heads. Two vertically lined eyeholes were their targets.

"Nouma, don't play with your food." Nous warned, chuckling at the other demon's nails cutting Violet's face. She stayed quiet, glaring at the demon. "I want to hear it scream first." It said, bringing it's pointed fingernails to her neck. Violet opened her mouth, shouting. Sandy and Paula jumped onto an open branch, sending heavy shots from a large rifle into the creature holding their friend. "What the-?" It jerked to the two teenagers, dropping Violet and grabbing it's spear. But it was too late. The demon's head was blown open, all of it's beady eyes destroyed by the storm of bullets. Violet stumbled into a bush, swinging her own sniper into her arms.

"The other one!" Sandy shouted, rearming his weapon. They quickly repositioned around the male demon, who fell to his knees. "Nouma..." It said, picking up her lifeless body. "Nouma, Nouma, Nouma!" It pulled her into it's arms, screaming. Sandy turned to Paula, who was equally confused. He grit his teeth, pulling the trigger. "You fucking monster, how dare you feel pain and loss after what you've done to us!" The demon ignored their shots, continuing to mourn for his lost companion. It's mask shattered as Paula readied the final blow. "Noumph- Nouma- Hurmgh-" All three of them lowered their guns in fear and disgust. The demon started to consume the other's body, crying her name. It bit into her head, shattering her skull. It ate every bone, until her body was completely digested. "Nouma... Nouma... I will avenge you, Nouma." When it stood up, it was nearly twice it's size. It's body grew in what seemed like seconds. Paula pulled her sniper rifle out, aiming for it's head. A large explosion sent the ground into a near earthquake. Paula fell from the tree, right in front of the monster. "Yes, I will kill this one first." It said, kicking the limp girl into a tree. It was as if it was still talking to Nouma, who was gone. Sandy was next, shooting at the demon's head. It blocked his bullets with a swipe of it's hand. It grabbed Sandy's head, pulling him into the air. His screams were muffled inside the large black fist of the monster. "Eat this one? Or torture it first. Yes, for you." It slipped it's hand from Sandy's head to his chest, crushing him. The green haired boy screamed in pain. His ribs were crackling inside of the monster's grip. "You fucking monster!" Violet shouted, emerging from her hiding spot. Her body was already beaten and bruised, multiple cuts from Nouma's torture were starting to take it's toll. She stumbled forwards, pulling out her gun. It dropped a limp Sandy to the ground, his chest completely still.

"Don't worry, Nouma. This one too, shall pay the price."

Violet's arms gave out, dropping the rifle to the floor. The demon took a step towards her, reaching it's hands out. "Fuck you." A quick barrage of bangs and flashes blew the demon's head off, the faceless body falling to the ground. Two boys jumped from the trees, one helping Violet up and the other rushing to Sandy's lifeless body. "Shattered ribs, broken arms. He's alive but not for long." The boy's hair was raven black, lopsided bangs covering his left eyes. The other was wearing a brown trench coat, strange white streaks running down his onyx hair. "P-Paula," Violet stuttered, falling onto a tree. Yuugo rushed to the other girl, who was getting herself up. "Shit hurts, but I'm fine." She said, looking for her gun. Ray turned to Yuugo, who helped him pick up the boy. "Quickly, we have to bring him somewhere safe. Before he dies." The four rushed off, with Sandy in their arms.
