"I don't mean to spoil the moment," The lion looking man said, warmly smiling at Emma and I's reunion. "But there's something you must see, y/n."
I gulped nervously. What could it be? He stood up, ushering for me to follow him. Emma grabbed my hand, comforting my trembling body. "Please, follow me." He said. "My name is Lucas, by the way." We followed him out of the plain beige painted room. The people here were strange. One boy was wearing an aviator's hat with the large clunky goggles. A small plant sprouted from the top. He winked at me. "What a weirdo," I thought, glancing at the others.
A tomboyish girl, with short hair and big eyes. Her lavender colored hair was really cute.
That tall white haired boy who was carrying Emma when we were saved. A single red streak of hair stood out from his pale white locks. He smiled at me warmly.
There were three other girls, a silly looking one voraciously snacking on a bag of chips. She was wearing a gray beanie with many weird stickers and clips. The other two girls looked rather serious, the black haired one was quiet, wearing a ninja-like outfit. The brown haired girl wore her hair in two pigtails, fixing her glasses. Two other boys were whispering quietly to each other. One had a circle-like scar around his left eye, glaring at me coldy. I felt shivers run down my spine. His long black dreadlocks were pulled back into a ponytail. The other boy, in contrast, was smiling very warmly, his dark green hair put up with many colorful bobby pins.
"y/n. Hurry up." Emma whispered. I turned away from the room, running down the hallway. Who are these people? Where was I? I still had so many questions. But all I could do was follow this man, who seemed like their leader.
"Sir," Emma started, stopped by his hand. "Lucas. Call me Lucas." He said, chuckling. Emma giggled, continuing with the correction. "Lucas, are you going to show her the door?" The man nodded silently. "Watch your step."
The staircase he brought us to was wide and easy to step on. Thank god. A railing. I held onto it tightly as we descended into a stone basement. "Cold..." Emma shivered, rubbing her hands together. The sweater Zack had lent me was lined with warm fleece. I hid my hands inside the oversized sleeves, laughing at Emma's sloppy jumping jacks. "No fair," She giggled, sliding her arms into her own big red t-shirt. "Oliver either had t-shirts or winter coats."
"The pen, Emma?" Lucas asked, holding out his hand. She placed it hesitantly in his palm. He moved aside, revealing a small hole in the straight stone wall. "A keyhole?" I asked. Lucas gently met the hole with the tip of the pen. It slipped right in. "You're observant, y/n." He commented. The wall started to shake, slabs of rock sliding backwards to reveal a passageway.
"We can do it now." His voice was low, slightly trembling.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, tugging his long brown cape. When he turned around, the coat flew over his right shoulder. I gasped, noticing the empty sleeve of his shirt. he jabbed his left fist into the air. "We can destroy Goldy Pond."
