No Smoochin' in the Kitchen

Matt's POV

After following Mouch to the kitchen, I walked in to see Severide and Stella making out next to the counter. I went to tap Severide's shoulder. He was not happy as he turned to look at me. "Dude, uhm...busy here." I looked at him. "Well take it elsewhere. I don't need your spit all over my clean counter that I sterilized before the baby came home." Severide nodded before seeing the food. "Yum, foods' here"

He went to grab it but, I stopped him...slapping his hand. "You know the order. Me and Gabby, followed by Antonio and then the firehouse." He nodded before grabbing Stella's hand and walking away. That's when I saw Antonio walk in. "Want some help? Saw the food was here." I nodded and smiled. "You are going to make yourself some food anyways."

He nodded and then walked up to the counter. "I might wait a bit. I texted Laura. She has the kids right now but...I hoped she could bring them over?" I nodded. "Of course, they are family." Antonio smiled and went to rub my arm. "How does it feel to be married again?" I smiled. "It's amazing. Just feel so happy to be able to protect her again."

He nodded and then went to hug me. "Keep her safe brother." I nodded and smiled while hugging him. That's when we heard his kids walk in. "Dad! Why didn't you come to the door when we yelled for you?" Antonio turned to look at his kids. I then stared at them. We had not interacted much before now but, I knew his kids a little.

"God, you guys have gotten so big Eva and Diego." They both looked at me, now being teenagers. Eva started talking first. "So, you are back with my aunt? Don't break her heart again or else I will use the boxing my dad taught me to teach you a lesson." I chuckled and then walked over to her, hugging her. "Trust me, I have a baby to take care of with Gabby now. We are going to be fine. But listen, you guys grab some food. I have to bring some to Gabby."

They both nodded and went to grab some plates for themselves. I then went back to making me and Gabby some plates before grabbing some towels and utensils. "Antonio, can you take care of the order? I am going to sit with my new wife and talk to our friends. This is our wedding reception after all." I then smiled at his ex-wife. "By the way, it's a pleasure to meet you Laura."

Laura smiled at me. "Same here, now go relax. It's your wedding." I smiled and nodded before making my way back out to the living room to give Gabby some food.
