Matt's POV
As me and Gabby got downstairs to the basement, I watched as she made her way to the living room. She moved to sit down before starting to feed Matteo. I couldn't help but think that she is a little mad at me for not coming down with her without her having to tell me to. Walking over to the couch, I moved to sit across from her, watching her feed Matteo.
"You mad at me?" Gabby turned her head to look at me, confused. "What would make you think that?" I sighed and then looked at her. "The way you said...you know about me staying upstairs when you are supposed to be on bedrest." Gabby sighed and grabbed my hand. "I'm not mad, I was just making sure you were making the right decision."
I chuckled and smiled at her, rubbing her hand. "Want to know the best decision I made this week?" Gabby smiled at me. "What is it?" I smiled and looked down before looking into her eyes. "It was marrying you again." She liked that answer and smiled at me. "I does feel right doesn't it? I honestly feel like we should've never divorced."
I nodded because I couldn't help but agree. "But, that's behind us. We are married again and everything is so much better. We have Matteo, we are together and we are in love. All we need now is to find our new home." Gabby nodded when I said that. "Can we wait a little? I know we want to look soon but....I am not going to make a decision blindly."
I looked at her confused. "What do you mean by that?" Gabby sighed. "Matt, I am supposed to be on bedrest. Yes, I can go up and down to play games but....I can't go to open houses or do tours of other homes. I want to be able to do that with you before we make such a big decision. I mean, this decision is going to affect us for years to come. It's a big investment."
"I completely agree. So, we will wait until you are able to visit homes before we make any final decisions. I just don't want to take too long because eventually, I do need to go back to work. And whether that's back at the firehouse or elsewhere, I need to know where to apply." I stared at him, shocked at his answer. "You are considering no longer being a firefighter?"
