Astrid awoke from silent shuffling somewhere behind her.

She was still tired, her body still stiff while her brain was racing to be fully awake. The girl only nuzzled deeper into the warmth that was the pillows lined down the side of the wall next to her bed as she tried falling back asleep. It was too comfortable to leave and her dream had had an awfully intoxicating smell she was not ready to abandon just yet.

"They will kill one another when they wake up."

Astrid caught the sentence but her delayed morning brain failed to comprehend the words. All she could think of was for the voice to quit talking as she, shifted in her sleep a little more, moving deeper into the warmth at her side.

As the annoying whispers continued, keeping her awake, her brain slowly began becoming clearer. She racked her brain, remembering the sentence she had heard and trying to make sense of it. Slowly but surely Astrid realised her bed had never had pillows lining the wall; dreams most certainly didn't have a smell.

Slowly she squeezed one eye open. Then the other. Even slower she rolled onto her side, her eyes narrowed and vision a little blurry, still not used to the bright morning light all around her. Yawning she tried to make sense of what was happening.

"Stop moving," a voice grumbled from very close above her.

She felt the hand (one she hadn't noticed before) pull her in a little tighter by her waist as if preventing her from shifting.

Astrid turned her head once more, frowning, where she saw Daphne standing over her, Blaise sat on the couch opposite the one she was on.

"Morning," the blonde beamed.

Still only partially comprehending Astrid turned her head back to face the other side. Though what she saw, woke her right back up. Draco Malfoy.

Seeing the boy so close and so suddenly made her heart nearly jump out of her mouth as she yelped, instantly scooting backwards. A great miscalculation on her point and soon Astrid felt the couch beneath her disappear as she had rolled off of it and onto the cold common room floor.

"Ow," she groaned slightly, her eyes once more screwed shut. Now not only from her being tired but also the pain in her bum and the embarrassment of the situation she found herself in.

"What are you-" Draco cut himself off and his eyes flew open, taking in the scene around him.

He placed a hand on his head, pulling at the hair slightly as he looked across the room, his eyes narrowed and adjusting to the light. He took in Blaise and Daphne in front of him and slowly sat up, his hand sliding out of his hair as he took note of the groaning girl on the ground. One he figured had just been in his embrace.

His eyes trailed to further take in his surroundings and with horror, he realized he was in the common room. A place everyone and anyone could've seen. Draco inhaled a sharp breath, blinking once as he watched two younger Slytherin girls walk by whispering and giggling while looking his way.

Slightly panicking Draco glanced down at his chest. Although nothing could be read from his expressionless facial expression, innerly the lad sighed with relief once he saw he was still fully clothed.

The boy swore to himself he would never drink with Ninomae again.

Astrid had now slightly sat up, her back resting against the couch as she held her forehead with her hand. Her head had never hurt before this early in the morning. If anything, waking up had always reduced pain.

The girl couldn't help but whine and complain out loud about it.

"I'd have said it's because you just hit it but obviously it's the strain of your remaining two brain cells attempting to form a coherent thought." It had been meant as an insult to the brunette on the ground but Draco had a great inkling he had just described himself. He was rather confused and his head hurt.
