Homecoming - 1

"Aye, let's say that Mikael followed Elena in here. He tried to grab her, so he could use her as bait." Stefan said as he explained the plan. 

Yeah, Damon bailed Stefan out of the Lexi Rehab center, and for is going to help us take Klaus down to win his freedom again. 

I frowned and crossed my arms at him. "And you what? Vervained him? That's not believable at all." 

Damon shakes his head. "Ariel is right, we need to make it realistic so we vervained him! This guy is an Original."

Stefan sighs annoyed and crossed his arms "Okay, fine. We vervained him, and in the process discovered that he had a dagger." 

Elena nods and then adds to the plan, "Which he planned to use on Rebekah, but instead..." 

Stefan finishes for her "We drove it through his heart." 

"And what happens when he asks to see Mikael's body?" Elena questions. 

Damon nods and points at Stefan "Good point! You my brother have been compelled to do what Klaus says. So the idea is to lure him back here and kill him...last thing we need is you getting tripped up and tongue-tied." 

Stefan shrugs, "Well, don't look at me. I am just in charge of getting him back here." 

"Klaus is smart. He's going to want proof that the man he hates the most in the entire world is dead." I reminded them. 

"Then I shall be dead." Says a voice, we all turn and see the said famous Mikael with a dagger. 

"What if he wants to see you in person?" Elena questions.

"Well that means our plan is working. Klaus will absolutely want to see my body. You lure him here, and I will kill him." 

Stefan looks at the dagger in Mikael's hand, "With what? Those daggers won't work on him." 

"Well, I'm in possession of a stake fashioned from the wood of the ancient white oak tree. The one that left these ashes when it burned." Mikael explained.

"Where is it?" Damon asks as Mikael dips the dagger in the ashes of the white oak tree.

"Not here. The knowing of its location is my insurance policy." 

"Against what?" Stefan asks.  "You leaving this in my heart. You see, a vampire can't dagger an original without dying. So...it falls to you." Mikael says before handing over the dagger to me. 

I took it from him, turning it over and looked at him in surprise "You want me to dagger you?"

Mikael nods. "Klaus will leave nothing to chance- especially when it comes to trust."

I sighed and took a breath "Fine, just know that I take no pleasure in this"

"I'm sure you don't." 

I looked towards Stefan to make sure he was watching, he sat in the arm chair and kept his eyes on us. 

I took a breath and then without hesitation drove the dagger through Mikael who stiffed when the dagger reached his heart and then collapsed. 

I put my hands on my hips as I looked down at Mikael's body that started to desiccate.

"I thought I was going to like that more." 

"Only you would like killing an original." Damon said as we stepped back from Stefan's view so he could call Klaus and start our plan. 
 
"Your father is dead." 

Here we go. 

"Oh, my mistake. Not your actual father and not dead. Mikael. Daggered. What do you want me to do with the body?" Stefan asks Klaus. 

"Well, he is here. Come by whenever." Stefan replies to whatever he said. 

"It's true. I saw it with my own eyes." 

"That's not a problem. She is right here." 

Stefan stands and hands over the phone to Rebekah who walked in.

Rebekah takes the phone and raises it to her ear hesitantly. "Hello Nik." 

Rebekah looks down at her fathers dagger body as she speaks. "It's true. He's finally out of our lives for good. I miss you. I'm miserable here." 

Rebekah nods. "Good. I'll see you then, brother." She hangs up the phone and turns to us. 

"He bought it. He's coming home." 

Damon grins. "Now- was that easy or what?" 

"Let's just get this over with." Elena mutters, she bends down and pulls the dagger out of Mikael.
