After a long drive back from Abby and Jamie's place we finally got back. I'm staying with Matt back at our house because with Klaus still in town and with what he did to Jamie I still don't feel safe letting him stay in the house by himself.
"I just need to get a few things and I'll be out!" I yell back to Elena who was getting her stuff in the car.
I put the key in the door and opened it up, freezing at the scene in front of me, Alaric and the girl from the bar, kissing.
"It's official." I exclaimed, announcing I was in the living room as I covered my eyes.
"My supernatural power is walking in on people."
"Oh wow, um, I- Uh." Elena muttered from behind since she just walked in.
"Good lord put a sock on the door ladies and gents." I said to them while keeping my eyes closed.
First Caroline and Matt (twice might I add) and now Ric and girl who's name I don't know. Nice.
"Uh I'm gonna go." The brunette stuttered to Alaric who nodded, "Yeah, sure, sure, sure."
I removed my hands from my eyes as soon as I heard the front door open and shut. "Girls I am so sorry." Alaric apologized quickly.
"Please it's okay." Elena says with a chuckle.
"Ah it's not okay, at all. I mean this is not even my place, it's your place, it's jenna's place, it's your family's place." Alaric stuttered as he looked down in shame.
"The minute you slept on the couch it became your place, too." Elena states. "We needed you and you stayed. So thank you for that."
I smiled and nodded at him, "She's right. Now I know it's hard but Jenna is gone Ric. You're allowed to move on."
He smiled lightly, "Thank you."
After packing up most of my stuff, like mainly my weapons (can't go anywhere without those.)
"So are you going to search for your father?" Elena asked as she walked me down the front steps of the house.
I sighed as I turned to face her, "I've been doing some thinking. Whoever he is, he left for a reason, besides. Alaric is the only father I need."
Elena smiled, "You up for a run tomorrow?"
I chuckled and shook my head, gripping my duffel bag. "No, Damon texted me and he has something planned tomorrow. He says I have to be there."
She tensed at the mere mention of Damon, causing me to smirk. "Elena and Damon sitting in a tree!" I sang as I rushed to the car.
"Ariel!"
"K I S S I N G!" I continued as I ripped open the door and threw my stuff in and got in as well.
I looked through the windshield to see Elena with crossed arms and glaring straight at me.
"I love you!"
"I hate you."
I laughed as I started the car and backed out, "I hate you too!"
