Murder of one - 4

"Are you insane!" I yell after Stefan. He had the most brilliant idea of going alone to rescue Damon. "Stay with Caroline and Elena. I'll call you when it's over."

"Oh no!" I picked up my pace and stopped in front of him. "Saving Damon won't matter if you do something else to piss Klaus off!"

"After everything he took from me Klaus does not get to survive this." Stefan said. He was angry, he has the right to be. "Then he won't. But you can't go in there by yourself!"

"This is my battle!" He yelled. The tone in his voice made me flinch. He seemed to have noticed so he backed up. "It is not yours." There was no point trying to stop him from walking, he stormed off without another word and slammed the front door close. I cross my arms at it.

Caroline and Elena enter the front hall once Stefan left. They heard everything.

"I miss well-adjusted Stefan." Suddenly, the door flies open and Stefan is thrown through it he crashed on the ground.

"Ding dong." said Sage as she entered. Caroline goes to attack her, but Sage throws her to the ground. "Caroline!"

Sage looks back at her with distaste. "I'm not here for you. I'm here for him."

Elena and I split up, she runs outside I run down the hall but suddenly I'm pulled back and thrown into the living room. I groan when I hit the couch. "Oh look." Sage mussed. "Two for the price of one."

Sage approaches Stefan first, she wanted to kill him first. "I had to kill him, Sage." Stefan says with a groan.

"Oh, you remember me." She kicks Stefan and he flies into a chair.

"Good. Then you know I like to go all ten rounds." Before she even begins to fight Stefan she starts to cough and her nose starts to bleed. I frown at the image. Vampires don't bleed.

"Troy, help me!" She pleads. Troy releases Elena and me and rushes over to Sage. He bends over and coughs up blood as well.

"What is happening to me?" Sage asks in a strained voice. Sage and Troy die.

"She just died!"

"So, Sage and this Troy guy die within an hour of Finn." Caroline says, trying to put the pieces together.

Elena frowns. "But why? Were they bitten by a hybrid or..?"

Caroline shakes the idea off with a hand. "Hybrid bites don't look like that. Maybe Sage was so in love with Finn she just died of sadness."

Elena shakes her head. "No, that doesn't explain Troy."

I perk my head up in realization. "It's the blood. The bloodline" Stefan nods and points a finger in correction.

"Ariels right, the bloodline, It has to be. Think about it: Finn turned Sage, Sage turned Troy. They're all part of the same vampire bloodline that originated with Finn."

Caroline raises an eyebrow. "Wait, so when an Original dies every vampire turned from their bloodline dies along with them? Because that would mean..."

"If the Originals die, so do all of you. The entire vampire species would...it'd just be dead."

I brush the dirt off my hands on my clothes as Caroline and I stepped in the house. We just finished burying the bodies of Sage and Troy outside. And by we I mean me. Caroline was disgusted by the entire process.

"Vampire disposal. Not my strong suit. Uck." Caroline said as walked to Elena who was cleaning up the mess in the living room. "Where'd Stefan go?" I asked.

"Trading the stakes for Damon."

"All of them?"

Elena shook her head. "No, not all of them. We still have uh- enough to kill three out of the four of them. If we can figure out who to save."

"Let's hope it's not Klaus." I muttered as I laid down on the couch, covering my face with one of the couch pillows. Today was exhausting. "How are we supposed to do that?"

"I have no idea." I lift a hand and begin to list things down with my fingers.

"You were turned with Damon's blood. Damon and Stefan were turned by Katherine. And Katherine was turned by a vampire named Rose."

"Well, who turned Rose?"

Elena responded. "We don't know. But it can only link back to one Original and if the odds are in our favor, hopefully it won't be Klaus. So that we can still kill him."

"Elena." Caroline said wearily. I raise an eyebrow at her town and sat up on the couch.

"Even if Klaus didn't create our bloodline, we know for a fact that he turned one of us." The realization hit me like a brick. No...

"Oh my God. Tyler." No. There is no way. No. "If we kill Klaus, then Tyler will die."
