Aurora's P.O.V
Amira: Hello, Miss Anderson? I'm calling to notify you that your meeting with Mr Jefferson, on the 20th floor, is in an hour.
Aurora: Thank you Amira.
Hanging up the phone, I take a quick shower and get dressed. Finally arriving at the Jefferson offices I look up in aww, such a high building must have cost a fortune. Entering the building I head to the elevator but am stopped by the receptionist.
"Uhm I'm sorry but you can't just go up there." I sense a little attitude.
"I have an appointment with Ben." I try to explain.
"First and foremost, it's Mr Jefferson and do you even have an appointment? What's your name?" She looks me up and down.
"Anderson." I say through gritted teeth, she takes her clipboard , taking a look then shakes her head.
"You're not on the list, sorry." She pulls the y. Picking up my phone I call Amira, I know I'm no big shot but the least I deserve is respect, not some bimbo acting all high and mighty because she has a clipboard.
Amira: Yes Miss Anderson?
Aurora: Amira, tell me why I'm not being let past reception by this bimbo?
Amira: I am so sorry Miss Anderson, I will get right on it.
Hanging up the phone it only takes two minutes for someone from upstairs to emerge from the elevator and practically bite the receptionist's head off, frantic, she apologises to me.
"I am so sorry Miss Anderson, Mr-"
"I'll take it from here. I am so sorry about the inconvenience Miss Anderson, my name is Collin, Mr Jefferson's PA." He explains leading me into the elevator, getting in he presses the highest floor's button. "Please follow me." He says leading me to what I assume is the boardroom. "Please have a seat, Mr Jefferson will be with you shortly. Would you like anything to drink?"
"Do you guys have iced coffee?"
"I'm afraid we don't." I nod understanding.
"It's alright, thank you." I say and he leaves. Checking my watch for the third time I see that I've been waiting for exactly twenty minutes, he's clearly occupied. I get up and leave, if I'm going to wait this long then I might as well get myself that iced coffee I wanted and maybe a slice of chocolate cake. Just thinking about it brings a smile to my face. It takes me a couple of minutes to reach the bakery, entering I'm quickly greeted by the wonderful smell of coffee beans, salty foods and sweet pastries. I place my order and take a seat by my usual window. Just as they call my order my phone rings, I take my order answering it and taking a seat.
Aurora: Hello?
Collin: Miss Anderson, hello it's Collin, Mr Jefferson's PA. Mr Jefferson wanted me to send his deepest apologies, he was wrapped up in a meeting he could not get out of and is asking if you would please come back.
Aurora: I only left to get something to drink, I was going to come back. Tell Ben I'm on my way.
Collin: Thank you!
Putting my phone in my blazer I decide to order another iced coffee, if I remember correctly Ben and I like the same drink. Getting it I start making my way back to his office.
"Sorry I'm late, I went to the bakery for iced coffee, I bought you-" The iced coffees in my hands quickly hit the floor the moment I turn the corner, entering Bens office. From the way he's standing to the structure of his physique I know that my eyes are not deceiving me, it's him. Turning, our eyes meet and it's as if my heart is being squeezed to death.
"Hello αγάπη μου." Its as if my legs have a mind of their own as they start moving, picking up my pace I head for the stairs not bothering to wait for the elevator. I run as fast as I can, away from him as he roars out my name and away from the pain.
Cy's P.O.V
"Stall for me! I was in a meeting with my father but I am almost there, I'm begging mate." I practically yell at Ben in desperation, damn it! Driving to his office as fast as I can I finally get there. "Where is she?"
"She left." He says sadly. I look at him dumbfound.
"Well can't you get her to come back?" He holds the bridge of his nose then calls his assistant.
"Collin, can you call Miss Anderson and see if you can't get her to come back, tell her I was in a meeting and I'm sorry for the delay." He notes it down nodding.
"Yes sir." He says leaving. I take a seat on one of Ben's chairs.
"You couldn't just not go see your father today?" He asks and I hold up my hand, stopping him.
"Mate, don't start." He raises his hands giving up and we drop it, sitting in silence then Collin comes back.
"Miss Anderson will be back shortly sir, she was just at the bakery getting iced coffee." I smirk, she still loves that shit?
"Thank you Collin, you may leave. Well, I'll leave you to it." Ben says getting up and heading for the door. "Don't ruin this." He says closing the door, after he leaves I go stand by the glass window.
"Wait." I shake my head twice just to make sure I'm not imagining things but no, it's her. I'm pretty high up but I know for fact that that is her. I prepare myself and not long after I hear heels approaching.
"Sorry I'm late, I went to the bakery for iced coffee, I bought you-" I hear something hit the floor with a splash as she stops talking, turning to her our eyes meet. God, she looks even more beautiful than I remember.
"Hello αγάπη μου." I watch her slowly back away with tears in her eyes and she starts running, away from me. "Aurora!" I roar going after her, I try to get to her but I lose her. "Fuck!"
