Harper's P.O.V
Being the house caretaker, this house does not really get booked out a lot because it's proven to be quite expensive let alone easily accessible but, when it does I get the privilege to meet all kinds of different people. From couples who madly love each other, couples brought together by culture, newlyweds, young and old to bachelors and bachelorettes who use this house as their personal lust domaine. But I have never come across a couple quite like this one. I have never met two individuals so oblivious to their fate. Any blind man can see how in love with each other they are except them, well, Mr Kensington knows without a doubt that the woman his heart belongs to is the only woman he would live for and I feel as though it is the same with Mrs Kensington, she just hasn't realised it yet.
"She misses you." I say taking a seat beside him, his head lifts from his hands and he looks at me as I look at the garden then looks down. "How much longer are you going to torture her for? It's been three days." And he just keeps quiet, not saying anything. "Alright then I guess you'll just have to listen to what I have to say. Before hand, I do apologise if what I am about to say is over my pay grade or none of my business. I think that it is a cruel act to abandon someone just when they begin to need you and making sure to keep your distance yet not far enough so they always remember that you are still there. She might not show it or say it but your absence troubles her a great deal, she hides it well but I'm a woman, I can tell and I can also tell that you want nothing more than to be with her so I suggest you do that. Because you never know how much time you have with someone." I say then get up and leave, hoping to have made a change in his view on things. Reaching the door he calls me.
"Harper, I need a favour."
Aurora's P.O.V
Putting the strawberry slices on my quesito (cream cheese puff pastry) I suck the sweetness off my fingers as I take my plate and head upstairs, entering my reading and now also work room. It's been three days since I last saw Cy and since then I have been drowning myself in work so I don't give myself time to even think about him, it's been working, just not well enough. I don't know why his absence is troubling me but it does no matter how hard I try to deny it. I eat my pastries while scanning through my emails. I have always thought that for my company to continuously flourish I need to be in the office as often as I can but if there's one thing this vacation has taught me is that that is not true. I can take a break once in a while. Hearing a light knock on the door I yell 'yes?' Giving them permission to enter and I see Harper.
"Yes Harper?"
"I thought I should inform you that there is a delivery for you Miss, I took the liberty of placing in your room." A delivery for me?
"Oh.. thank you Harper." She bows then heads out, I put my laptop down making my way to our bedroom, entering the first thing I lay my eyes on is the clothing rack in the middle of the bedroom with all kinds of different and beautiful formal dresses accompanied by matching shoes and purses then they move to the large collection of makeup, the transparent jewellery box accompanied by a man? And finally a letter on the bed. "What is all this?" I softly ask myself. Looking at the man in the corner he looks at me, bowing. "Hello, who are you?" I question.
"Good afternoon Mrs Kensington, my name is Harold, the manager of Cartier and I am here to assist you." Cartier, the famous jewellery store Cartier? I make my way to the bed and take the letter in my hand, opening it.
My dear Aura,
Firstly I would like to apologise for my recent absence, I hear it has taken a toll on you.
After the moment we shared I assumed that when you woke the first thing you would do is regret what happened between us and I guess I wasn't ready to face that reality but if I am being fully honest, it is your absence that has affected me the most.
