Aurora's P.O.V
"Mm." I hum trying to open my eyes.
"Aurora? Cyan she's waking up! Get the doctor." Someone yells removing my mask. Is that Kim?
"The light." I try to shield my eyes but my arm feels so heavy, I can barely lift it. And my voice sounds so horse.
"It's okay, I'll close the blinds." Once they're shut I open my eyes and adjust to the light. A white room? Where am I? Looking to my left I meet Kims eyes and smile. "Hey." She offers me a small smile as her eyes water and lips quiver.
"He-"
"Aurora!" Tilly yells rushing in with Cyan hot on her tail and a man I'm assuming is the doctor.
"Aurora." Cyan says softly, kissing my forehead.
"Good day Miss Anderson, I'm Dr Cheddler and I will be your doctor for the rest of your stay here." He offers me a kind smile. "How are you feeling?"
"My body feels heavy and the light is hurting my eyes." Walking over to the light switch he dims the light and my eyes open up a little more, making room for him, everyone moves back so Dr Cheddler can exam me. He takes a look at my eyes, checks my breathing, my arms, legs and lastly my bullet wound.
"Okay, your bullet wound is healing up nicely and your body is recovering on schedule." He says writing something down on a clipboard. "You'll experience some aches in your joints and your body may feel heavy for a couple of days but I'll have the nurse give you something for that. You've been asleep for quite some time so just try to rest and I'll be back to check up on you." Offering me another smile he nods then leaves.
"Do you want to sit up?" Kim asks and I nod.
"Yes please." She adjusts my bed then puts a pillow behind me. "Thank you." I say before coughing.
"I'll get you some water and maybe something to eat, you must be hungry." Tilly offers before leaving.
"Oh I was so worried about you kid, you scared me." Kim says hugging me tightly.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to worry you. The doctor said I've been asleep for a while, how long have I been asleep?" Kim and Cyan share a look. "Kim?" I look at her expectedly. "How long?" She takes a deep breath.
"You've been in a coma for a month now Aurora." My eyes widen. What? No, that can't be.
"A m-month?"
"After Mia shot you, you became unconscious, even when Cyan and Tilly brought you to the hospital. You just wouldn't wake up so the doctor ruled you being none responsive, as you being in a coma."
"I don't remember much of what happened." I express. Cy! Cy was there that day, Mia tried to shoot him but I got in the way. To protect him.
"Cy, where's Cy?" I ask and the room falls silent, Tilly walks in and looks around the room.
"What's wron-" I look at Kim.
"You said Tilly and Cyan brought me to the hospital but that doesn't make any sense. Cy would've been the one to bring me here, his face is the one I would've seen first. Because that's how it's always been, but he's not here. So if he's not here then where is he Kimberly?" Why is no one saying anything? Why are they all looking at me like that?
"A I'm so sorry." No, why is she crying? I shake my head.
"No." I say sternly, I can feel my chest start to close up and tears fill my eyes. "I don't want your apology, I want an explanation of where Cy is, why isn't he here?"
"He's missing Aurora." My eyes widen.
"What?" I whisper.
"After you were shot, Cyan found out that the whole place was rigged with explosives so we tried to get out as quickly as we could but Cy went back. He knew that if the explosives went off we'd all drown to death so, he handed you you over to Cyan and went back in to stall but-"
"But?" I can feel tears well in my eyes as I look at Tilly.
"But the place flooded before he could get out." Cyler.
"A, don't lose hope." Kim says desperately, clinging to my hand. "We have the best team searching the base day and night, looking for him. I'm sure they'll find him and bring him home."
"They haven't found his body Aurora, which must mean he's still alive, he's probably just lost somewhere." Cy? Lost? Is this some kind of joke? Cy is the most capable person we know, even if he got locked in a low temperature box, at the bottom of the ocean, he would find a way to escape and come back to me.
"Aurora?" My chest.
"Aurora! Tilly get the doctor." It hurts, my chest hurts so much. Ah!
"Miss Anderson? Miss Anderson can you hear me?" His voice fades away as everything turns dark.
"What do we tell her?"
"Do you think we should tell her? I mean if we don't something bad might happen just like the last time."
"Don't tell her!"
"Cyan she has the right to know as the-"
"DID YOU NOT HEAR WHAT I JUST SAID?! I said no." Fluttering my eyes open I see an angry Cyan and a very irritated Tilly.
"Guys, she's awake." Kim says grabbing their attention. "Hey, how are you feeling?" I try to speak but I can't. "Does your body hurt?" She asks looking me over.
"Aurora?" Why can't I speak? Why do I feel so empty and hollow? It aches inside. "Get the Dr." Coming in Dr Cheddler examines me.
"Dr?"
"It seems as if Miss Anderson suffered a heart attack." He sighs.
"What?!" They all say in union. A heart attack? "How?"
"Everything must have come as a shock to her and she was failing to process the news so her heart reacted this way. She's overwhelmed, her body is exhausted and this is all too much for her. It's not looking good."
"What?"
