Aurora's P.O.V

"No! Nooo!" Jolting awake I almost fall out of my chair. Trying to hold her body down she slaps me and I fall back.

"Mia! Mia, try to relax. It's just a dream." She's not waking up, her eyes are shut tight. Cy comes in. "Quickly, help me hold her down or her stitches are going to tear." Helping hold her down he injects her with lorazepam and soon after she calms down, sleeping peacefully again. "I don't like you injecting her with that." I say looking at her.

"Tell that to the fresh bruise on your face." He says a little irritated. To be honest we're both a little irritated lately, ever since Mia fell into my arms Cy and I haven't really had any time to ourselves. Between my pregnancy, taking care of Mia and work, we're both pretty swamped. She's been in a coma for over a week now, during the day or in the middle of the night she'll start kicking and screaming, and we have to sedate her to calm her down. The last time we didn't her stitches tore and Dr Keller had to stitch her up again.

"Hey, I'm heading to the office, I'll be back in a couple of hours." I say peeping into Cy's office. He looks exhausted and so am I. I feel for him, him and Mia are childhood friends and right when he thought everything was great, this happens and turns everything upside down. When Mia's mom heard what happened she literally passed out and she's been ill ever since.
Cy sent a care taker to her house but she won't eat or sleep, all she does is cry because she blames herself for letting this happen. We're still searching for Mia's father but the fact that we don't know where he is puts us in a very vulnerable position, and that's not where we want to be. Walking to him I gently sit on his lap, wrapping my arms around him. "You look exhausted, you should take a break. Sleep or do something relaxing." I say kissing his forehead. He lays his head on my chest, wrapping his arms around me.

"I'm sorry." I look at him confused.

"Sorry for what baby?"

"That our lives are a mess right now. We should be celebrating our pregnancy and I should be making sure that you're happy and taking it easy all the time, but all my life is doing is stressing you out." He has so much on his shoulders that he doesn't even realise that the one who's carrying the most out of the two of us, is him.

"I'm okay Cy, as long as I'm with you I'll be happy, always." Getting up, I peck his lips and head out. "To the office please Soyer."

"Yes ma'am."

"Miss Anderson! It's so good to see you." I smile at Amira and she follows me into my office.

"Really?"

"Wou, are you okay? You look a little green and-" She takes a closer look at my face. "You have a bruise on your face! What happened?" She asks frantically and I shake my head.

"It's fine, I hit my face on my way in here but it's fine Amira."

"Oh, okay then."

"Have you seen Justin?"

"He's taking the week off, he said he came down with this bug that's been going around, even Gloria from the financial department caught it." I scrunch up my face.

"Really?" And she nods. "Well I'll be sure to be careful. I'm guessing you'll be in charge of my schedule for the week?"

"Yes, Miss Anderson. I took the liberty of summarising all your appointments for this week, your meetings and the doctor's appointment you have Thursday."

"Oh that's right, I totally forgot about that."

"I didn't know either but luckily the receptionist at the hospital called to remind you since they couldn't get a hold of you on your cell." I've been so wrapped up in taking care of Mia that I even forgot about my appointment with Dr Emma. What is wrong with me? This pregnancy should be my first priority.
