Cy's P.O.V
"Mm!" Aurora moans in annoyance as I kiss her nose again and again. I let her sleep and go shower then make breakfast. Covering the food I put it on a tray and leave it by her bedside table and go work.
Mikey: Boss.
Cy: Did you do what I asked ?
Mikey: Yes, she's safe.
Cy: And the other thing?
Mikey: I compiled the file just like you wanted and it'll be on your desk when you get back.
Cy: Good, keep an eye on her and don't let her out of your sight.
Mikey: Yes boss.
Cy: Mikey...
Mikey: Yes boss?
Cy: If anything happens to her I'll kill you.
Mikey: Understood.
Ugh I have a headache but at least everything is under control now.
Aurora's P.O.V
Waking up I find a tray of food next to my bedside table with a little note and a flower.
Good morning beautiful, hope you slept well.
Eat up, you'll need your strength- Cy :)
I can't help smiling when I read the last part as the scenes from last night replay in my head, over and over again. I hide myself under the covers blushing. Sitting up I feel how sore my body really is. After eating I fill the tub and take a long hot bath and when I get out I feel a lot better.
"Hey." I greet Cy, finding him in the living room, busy on his laptop. "You working?"
"Hey angel, no not really." He says closing it. I smile and curl up next to him. "How did you sleep?"
"Good, you?"
"Good too and how are you feeling?." Ahh! I could just die! Why is he asking me all these embarrassing questions.
"Before my bath not so good but now I feel better, my body doesn't ache that much anymore." I say shyly.
"You know, they say the only way to ease a stiff body is to do the activity over and over and over again till your body gets used to it." He whispers into my ear. I can already feel my body heating up. "But I'll take it easy on you today." He says kissing my forehead.
"When are we leaving?" I ask as he strokes my hair.
"Tomorrow afternoon or we could leave Monday morning. It's entirely up to you." I sigh.
"Back to reality." I look away. "I'm going to miss the peace and quiet here or just spending time with you and not worrying about paparazzi."
"I'm working on it." I smile at him.
"I know."
"Don't worry Angel, everything will go back to normal soon enough."
"And when it does, what then?"
"Simple, you come live with me again." He shrugs.
"And what about my penthouse?"
"You can rent it out or sell it." I scoff. Unbelievable.
"I can't just move out and move in with you, Kim and I live there together plus, why would I want to live in a place I have no say in, that I didn't contribute anything to. It doesn't make sense. That's your place not mine, so I'd basically be a guest."
"Would it make you feel more at home if you and I had picked the place?"
"Of course, I mean it would definitely-"
"Okay." I look at him.
"Okay what? What does okay mean?"
"We'll buy a new place, together." He can't be serious.
"A new place?" He nods. "And we'll choose it together?" He nods again. "That you'll pay for?"
"Of course." Men.
"And you don't mind selling your current place?"
"I only bought it because I needed a place to stay other than my parents house so I'm not really attached to it. Getting rid of it will be easy."
"Huh, I guess that makes sense." Laying back down I look up at him. "Okay, we'll buy our own place then." I smile. I can't believe this, this is insane! But also so exciting.
"Can you chop the onions for me please." He asks stirring the sauce.
"Sure, peal the potatoes too?"
"No I've got those."
"Okay." Today we decided to cook together, unlike all the other times when neither of us will accept any help from the other when cooking. There's something about us doing this little thing with one another that makes me feel at home with Cy. "Stopppp!" I giggle as he spritzes me with water.
"No." He complains when I spritz him back, laughing.
"Ah hah, not so nice is it." I scream, running away when he chases me around the kitchen, finally catching me he wraps his arms around me, spinning me. "Okay okay I surrender. I surrender!" My laugh fills the air.
"You better." He kisses my cheek putting me down. I quickly make my way to the pot of pasta and stir it so it doesn't burn. "Mm this is good. I think eventually I'd like a life outside the city." I answer him as we sit at the table, eating dinner.
"You don't like living in the middle of it?" I shake my head.
"I grew up in New York so I think I'm over how busy and loud it is. If we can build or buy a beautiful, big house, outside of the city. I'll be happy." I explain honestly. "But later on in the future. Not right now."
"Can you imagine the type of relationship we would have, had we not gone our separate ways?"
"I can't even." I giggle. "But now I really don't care about how things turned out, we found our way back to one another and to me that's all that matters."
"I'll get dessert." He says giving me a kiss.
Mikey's P.O.V
Slowly approaching I take out my gun and cock it, pointing it at the side of his head.
"If you want to die, move." He raises his hands, surrendering, snatching away his gun I slide it in my back and turn him around. "Who sent you." He doesn't say anything, he just smiles at me. "Let's go." I drag him to the car and throw him in. When we arrive where we're going he's quick to throw the first punch, I hit the side of his head with the end of my gun and he loses his balance, falling. Trying to get up I kick his face and he groans in pain. "Who sent you?" I ask again and he spits blood on my shoe. I shoot his knee and he screams. "One more time, who sent you?"
"I'll never-" BOOM! The sound echos when I shoot his head.
"That was a waste." After pouring petrol all over him I set his limp body on fire and drive off. Sending a picture of his face to a friend of mine, who works at the FBI, I ask her to look into him and get me everything she can on who he was, who he's worked for etc. Taking out my phone I give him a call.
"Boss, it's me. I think we have a problem."
