Cy's P.O.V

I tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear as I watch her sleep, after my little assault at the ball I noticed she was getting tired, like she was drained so I called my driver immediately and cut the event short. If I had it my way I would have cancelled going to the ball the moment I saw her in this dress, just to take it off of her and devour her, but I knew that the event wouldn't have made as large of an income as it did tonight without my presence and ability to persuade people to spend more money than they initially intended to. There is no doubt that she was the most breathtaking woman in that room, no one held a candle to her and she doesn't even know it. I got sick with rage when I heard what all those lowlife women were saying about her and it made me even more furious when their words actually affected her. I bet when she looked up and saw my face she assumed I was mad at her, my sweet Aura. But the way she handled herself the whole night showed just how strong she really is, because despite all the hurtful things they were saying about her, she didn't waver, not even once. That's my αγάπη μου, a force to be reckoned with.

Finally arriving, my driver opens the door for me and I carry Aurora out, getting inside, I see no sign of Harper so I imagine she's retired for the evening. I head upstairs and place her on the bed, taking off her shoes then turning off the lights and making sure to leave the door ajar. Making my way to the office I start working, making calls, answering emails and so forth, after a while I see Aurora's head peaking through the door.

"Hey." She says her voice groggy.

"Hi, when did you get up?" I ask seeing her natural again, when did she wake up and take a shower? She comes in wearing only my white shirt with a messy bun and walking barefoot, God she looks gorgeous, weather in an expensive dress or an oversized shirt. Her beauty remains the same. I turn my chair looking at her make her way to me and she cautiously approaches me, sitting on my lap and laying her head on my shoulder.

"I'm hungry." She says lowly and I smile. "You working?"

"Yes."

"Can you take a break?" She looks up at me and I nod my head yes so she gets up and offers me her hand, I take it and stand. "Come eat with me." She asks leading me to the kitchen I'm guessing. Taking my seat around the island I watch her tiptoe her way around the kitchen, heating up the food then dishing up. She instructs me to grab a bottle of scotch and two glasses while she takes the food and heads to the cinema, grabbing a blanket on the way. She quickly lays everything down then chooses to put on the nature channel, specifically jellyfish and the different blue, purple and green colour scheme surrounds the whole room. I look at her intrigued then take a seat beside her and we start eating. "Cy?"

"Yes darlin'."

"I realise that I don't know much about you, anymore so, will you tell me a bit about yourself? If you want to." She says shyly, how can one being be this adorable? I smile at her.

"I'd be happy to angel."

"Okay okay, last one." A laugh ripples through her as she throws her head back and I just watch in admiration. We've been sitting here for hours playing twenty one questions, well more like a hundred questions because she keeps asking one question after another. It's been a long time since I last heard her laugh or seen her genuinely happy and I realise how much I've missed seeing her like this. "Favourite animal?"

"What is that? People have a favourite animal?" I furrow my eyebrows and she laughs.

"Yes Cy they do."

"I don't have one." I shrug and she shakes her head in disbelief.

"Unbelievable." After some time she lays back down, looking at the ceiling then pulls me to her, laying me next to her. "You know, you don't always have to be so serious."

"What do you mean?"

"You can let your guard down from time to time, you don't always have to have your walls up, like right now, even your laugh is so ... tense." If only you knew angel that if I were to let my guard down, only the worst would begin to happen.

"I can't do that." I say seriously.

"Why not?" She turns to me, laying her head on my shoulder.

"Cause Aurora.."

"Cy." Losing my temper, I get irritated and quickly stand, unintentionally pushing her off of me.

"You have no idea what's going on do you?"

"Well how can I when no one wants to tell me anything?! Everyone is keeping secrets from me like I'm this fragile egg and I'm sick of it. Whatever it is I can handle it."

"No you can't Aurora!" I roar and she steps back in fright. I look at her angrily. "I have work to do." I say leaving.

"At 03:00 am in the morning? You know what FINE! Leave! It's what you do best anyway." I feel my rage soar as I turn to her.

"The only reason I left was because if I didn't my father would have killed you so DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT SHIT TO ME! You are alive because I deemed it so, I sacrificed my life and my childhood so you could have yours, so the next time you want to open that pretty little fucken mouth of yours, think twice." I leave. Heading to the garage I grab a random set of car keys, get in and drive off. I can't help going faster and faster feeling myself getting angrier, seeing buildings turn into nothing more than a blurred vision.
