Aurora's P.O.V

Laying in bed, I watch as the sun comes up. Cyan left before the crack of dawn 'Call me if you need me', those were the words he said to me before he left, and even though I wanted to tell him that I needed him constantly, I couldn't allow myself to be that selfish. Even though Cy is with me, now more than ever, he feels like a complete stranger to me and I don't know what to do or say to him.

"That's Reagan." Hearing his cries through the baby monitor I get out of bed. Picking him up, we come back to my bathroom and I brush my teeth. "We can't have you waking up your sister."

"Ma'am?" Mary calls out waiting by the door.

"In here Mary!" I yell from the bathroom and smile when Reagan widens his eyes. "I'm sorry baby."

"Why don't I take him for now so you can get ready."

"Thanks Mary, I'll be down in a minute."

"Take your time, come on Reagan, let's give mommy some privacy." I give him a little kiss then close the door. After taking a shower I put on a red, knitted, tight fit dress, tie my hair into a high ponytail and put on my festive fluffy socks, heading downstairs.

"Is Reign still asleep?" I ask going into the kitchen.

"Yes."

"She'll be up in an hour or two meaning I should pump their milk while I still can." Warning up some milk for Ree, I also grab the pumping machine and sit down to feed him. "Time for breakfast Ree." After he's done drinking I burp him, pump my breasts then bathe him.

"Hi." My heartbeat picks up, I'm still not used to hearing his voice.

"Hi." I turn around with Reagan in my arms. "Did you sleep okay?"

"Uhm yeah, thanks." He still scratches the back of his head when he's nervous or doesn't know what to say.

"You must be hungry, Mary just served breakfast so you can go take a seat over there." I point to the table full of food and he nods, making his way there. "I'll be right back." I say hearing Reign crying. Rushing upstairs I put Ree in his rocky chair and prepare a bath for Reign, while holding her. Once she's all dressed up we head downstairs and Mary feeds her while I eat. As Cy and I eat no one says anything till Reagan starts wiggling in his chair and I smile down at him.

"Is he mine?"

"Yes, he is." I hesitate. "They b-both are." I search his face, hoping to find something, anything that will tell me if he actually cares or is even interested. But I get nothing, I can't read him the way I used to. Why is that a bit unsettling to me?

"When did you get pregnant?"

"Around the same time you were reported missing. After all the horrific things that happened to us, I believe you disappearing is what broke me. None of us were in a good place, especially me, and when the police said- I mean, when the doctor told me I was pregnant it came as a really big shock. For a while I pondered on what to do and now here we are, they're basically my Christmas miracle."

"I'm sorry you had to go through that." I shake my head.

"It made me stronger, I'm sorry you had to go through what you went through as well. I'm happy more than anything that you're alive, your death shook this city." His eyebrows furrow.

"What do you mean?"

"I'll tell you soon, I just think right now all you need to know is that everyone in this house cares about you and will help you with anything you need, just take your time."

"Thanks Aurora." After breakfast I show him around the house, giving him the full tour.

"This is the indoor gym, the liberty which is my personal favourite, this path leads to the garden outside and finally the garage." Just as expected his eyes widen and sparkle.

"Wou, these are all yours?"

"Technically, yes they are, but they're yours too. Oh I almost forgot, tomorrow we'll be getting a visit from the family lawyer."

"Why? Is everything okay?"

"Everything is fine, we just want to make sure that we do everything that is legally possible in starting the process of giving you back what's yours, and when reporting that you're not dead."

"Already? Is there anything I can do to help?"

"We'll know tomorrow." Hearing one of the twins crying I excuse myself. "I'll be right back." Picking up Reign I rock her in my arms. It's so awkward between us, what do I do? "Do you have any idea on what I should do sweet girl?" Ogling her eyes at me I chuckle, I must look silly. Asking an infant for advice, I have officially reached a new low. She eventually falls asleep and I put her down, going back but find that he's gone. Where did he go? Searching downstairs I finally find him outside, by the pool, overlooking the city. "Hey, I was looking for you."

"Sorry, I just wanted to get some air." I nod.

"You okay?"

"I don't really know. Just the other day I found out that the life I had built for myself and was used to was a lie, then I come here and find a whole different life waiting for me. I have feelings for someone yet I have you and the twin, how messed up is that? And what's worse is that I don't remember any of it." He has f-feelings for her? Of course he does, I mean why else would he have kissed her. "I don't know who I am." Wait ... this isn't just about me, it's about him too and I need to realise that. Put your emotions aside Aurora.

"Cy." He turns to me. "Would you like me to tell you who you are, or rather, who you used to be?" His eyes search mine and finally, he nods and I offer him a soft smile. "How about we start over, as ... friends."  I have to try, no matter how hard it may be, to slowly rebuild what we once had and even if it ends up not being exactly the same, that's okay too.

"Okay." He says softly.

"Good." I reach out my hand to him. "Hello, I'm Aurora Anderson. Nice to meet you."

"I'm-" He hesitates for a couple of seconds. "Cy Kensington, it's a pleasure to meet you." He finally says offering me a small smirk. I know that smirk, I missed that smirk.
