Aurora's P.O.V

It's been two days since the news broke out about Cy and Mia's engagement and we've been getting hounded by the media ever since, I had to go back to my penthouse just so I can avoid being dragged into it, well that's what Cy said.

"Here's your tea." Kim places it on the table. I've been sitting on the couch, by the window for hours now and I haven't moved since I woke up. "So no food and now no liquids apparently, what's next no sleep?" I scoff.

"I'm sorry I expected you to actually understand what I'm going through."

"I do understand A, trust me I do and I'm really sorry you're hurting but you have to eat or at least drink something. What will starving yourself help with?"

"Who said I'm starving myself? I just don't feel like eating, is that so bad?" I exhale sharply, I am so tired. "Is dating supposed to be this hard? I mean I would at least understand if him and I were the ones making it complicated but no! It's everyone else around us that's making a mess out of our feelings for one another. How the hell is that even happening?" She laughs nervously.

"I guess you've avoided the dating world for so long that you've forgotten how it goes." She tries to joke, I just sadly move my head back, looking at the ceiling. "The hurdles aren't always easy but they're definitely worth it and if it doesn't last, take comfort in the fact that you put yourself out there." Sucking in a breath I get up.

"Well.. pity party is over. I need to call Cy, see how he's doing and what I can do to help. Also see if Mikey can't get a hold of Mia, she's been quiet for too long and it's starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth." There's a knock at the door. "I'll get it." Opening the door I don't even wait for her to say anything, all that's heard is the echo of my actions as I slap her across the face.

"Hello to you too." She smiles, walking in uninvited.

"You're the girl from the paper." Kim says standing up and folding her arms.

"It was you wasn't it." I spit out and she scoffs.

"And here I thought you were smarter than that. Of course it wasn't me, why would I do something that I know would hurt Cy?" I just roll my eyes.

"Why would you? Because you want to hurt me, get me out of the way."

"And how is exposing our engagement getting rid of you? Hm, because for two people to be married they'd both have to make it down the isle and I don't think this can force Cy to do that, do you?"

"Shit, she's got a point." Making her way to me, she stands in front of me.

"I told you, the person I'm here for is Cy, he's my priority. I don't give a damn about you, I'm a woman with integrity so if you're what makes him happy then you are what makes him happy."

"If it wasn't you then who was it?"

"Easy. His father and mine."

"I'll make the payment into that idiots account when I see it for myself. Until then no money!" My father says hanging up.

"Is it done?" He turns in his chair, smiling.

"Of course my friend." They both laugh. "By the looks of it we'll be rolling in money next fall." I didn't really understand what he meant till the next morning when I see it spattered all over the news, my engagement to Cy.

"What the hell is this?!" I yell barging into his office, throwing the newspaper on his desk and he just scoffs. "This is not how it should have been-"

"Shut up you stupid little girl." He commands, slapping me across my face.
