Lony's P.O.V

"Ohhhh I know that glimmer!" Jennie basically screams as I walk into the hospital and pass her by the front desk. Tucking a strand behind my ear, I try to pick up the pace, walking to my office. "Hey! Lony! Don't ignore me." She rushes after me and I sigh.

"I'm not ignoring you." I roll my eyes, walking into my office I take off my scarf and put of my doctors coat.

"Mhm, right."

"If you aren't aware, I have a lot of work to do." I gesture to the multiple patient files on my desk. Two of our regular doctors are on leave for a while and I kind of ended up picking up one of their patients, if it was anyone else the hospital would have split it between three doctors but, I can handle it by myself. They assume, since I'm the head doctor.

"I know okay, I know but, that glimmer. I have to know, is it because of you know who?" My eyes avert. That's basically a yes in Jennie's eyes which, she screeches to.

"Quiet!" I yell, pulling her in and closing the door. "This is a hospital, not a drama club."

"Ugh! If only he could fix how rude you are to me BUT no matter, I want to hear all about it. How was the date?" I sit down and tell Jennie all about Mike and I's date. "Wow! Is all I can say." I nod.

"I know."

"But?" My eyebrows furrow.

"But what?"

"I don't know, you look happy don't get me wrong but I- there's just something missing." I chuckle.

"Like?"

"I don't know, I mean I've seen you happy and this looks like a fragment of that. Not the full thing." My smile dies down. "Oh Lony, I'm so sorry I didn't mean-"

"Not everything can be the same Jennie. If I keep trying to mimic what once was then I'll never move on because, that's impossible."

"I hear you and that's not what I meant, I'm just saying that happiness feels the same honey, it's happiness. It can't lack." She says holding my hand before leaving. I sigh, sitting back. I know god damn it, because that's the same thought I had. As the day continues I do my usual work and after lunch Mike comes for his final appointment.

"Hey." He knocks on my door. I smile at him and my heart starts beating faster, great.

"Hey, come in."

"You look good Lony." My cheeks heat up and I run my fingers through my hair. Why does my name sound so great when he says it?

"Thank you, you look good too. You even got a haircut." His hair was a little over shoulder length before but now, it's short. His hair tied back really suited him but now, he looks even more attractive if that's even possible. He looks so sexy and has this dominating aura about him, it's intoxicating.

"Thanks." He nervously chuckles. "It was Jimmy's idea."

"I'll be sure to thank him personally."

"Oh yeah?" He smirks. God! What?! That face.

"Mhm." I nod. "Your aura is so different, it's kind of intimidating."

"My aura..." There's this glint in his eyes and he kind of pauses for a second then it's like he's caught up with reality again. I clear my throat.

"Come on, let's wrap this up so you can finally be free." I say walking out and he follows.

Aurora's P.O.V

"Okay, okay my sweet girl. It's okay." I coo, lightly rocking Reign back and forth.

"I'll get Reagan." Cyan says walking in and I smile at him.
