Cy's P.O.V

"Mia what do you remember?" She looks at me, searching my eyes.

"Cy what do you mean? I just saw you in Paris for our trip." Trip to Paris? Is she referring to a trip that was three years ago?

"Anything else?" She thinks for a little longer then rubs her forehead.

"I'm trying to remember but everything else is a blur after that, Cy, what's going on?" I look at her and look at Aurora as she looks at her, with complete shock.

"I'll tell you more later, right now I need you to rest okay and I'll have Dr Keller come take a look at you." Taking Aurora's hand we walk out and I can't help but notice the confused look on Mia's face. She really doesn't remember?

"Mary can you get Dr Keller on the phone please and give him an update. Tell him he needs to come here immediately."

"Yes sir." When she leaves I turn to Aurora.

"Aurora listen-"

"No Cy, whatever you're going to say or tell me no. I am not going through this again, we literally just moved past this and now it feels like we're going backwards. Back to the beginning." She has this pained look on her face. I can't blame her, she's been too understanding this whole time and me asking her to do it again would be unfair to her and our baby.

"Let's just hear what Dr Keller says alright." I say pulling her into my arms and hugging her. After Dr Keller arrives he heads straight into Mia's room. "He's been in there a long time."

"It's going to be fine." I can hear the worry in her voice, even though she's trying to comfort me. Just then he walks out. "So?" She practically jumps forward.

"The good news is her body is healing itself really well, even though she still may experience a lot of pain while moving around. The bad news is that when she went into a coma, the close to death experience she had forced her brain to shut down and lock it away , as if removing the memory itself and causing what she's experiencing now, which is short term memory loss."

"What does this mean?"

"This means that three years of her memories have been removed from her brain."

"So they're wiped away?"

"No not wiped away just locked away, which means she can get them back." Aurora sighs and I wrap my arm around her.

"What's the plan moving forward Dr Keller?" Releasing a breath, he looks at Aurora then at me.

"I would suggest trading very carefully here Mr Kensington, Mia is still fragile right now and doesn't really know what's going on, if we rush the process of returning her memories it could destroy her, making this situation permanent."

"Permanent?!"

"Aurora-" She walks away and heads downstairs.

"What can we do? How can we help her?"

"Right now she needs to be around an environment she's familiar with and people she's familiar with, friends and family play an important role in this process. We have to take it one day at a time and ease her into a future she doesn't even know exists."

"But she doesn't remember Aurora or Mary." His face turns into a concerned look.

"I know this is hard for all of you Mr Kensington but in my professional opinion, that could badly affect Mia." Fuck! "I adore Aurora and so does my wife but I really have to look after my patient's best interests here."

"I understand Dr Keller. Thank you, Mary will see you out." He nods. What am I going to do? How am I going to sort out this mess? Looking for Aurora I find her in our room. "Can I come in?" And she nods. Pulling her onto my lap she wraps her arms around me and looks at me. "I'm sorry we're in the predicament we're in now."
