Chapter Seventy One

Cy's P.O.V

"I thought I was clear when we spoke."

"And I'm being clear right now, Mia is staying in New York, I cannot afford to move Aurora or the baby and I will not move Aurora and I's life like that. I called her aunt and she'll be here in a week, she can decide on what to do." Dr Keller sighs.

"Mr Kensington-"

"Dr Keller you know Aurora is pregnant and you see how this whole situation is stressing her, now do you expect me to just disregard all of that? As the baby's father?"

"No."

"Hey." Aurora says sleepily making her way to us, she's been sleeping in a lot more these days.

"Hi Angel." I say kissing her forehead. She smiles at Dr Keller.

"Good morning Dr Keller." I jump in before he can respond.

"Dr Keller was just leaving." I say sternly and he nods, saying goodbye. "I made breakfast, go eat. Kim will be here in an hour." She looks at me, shocked.

"Why?" She asks stuffing her face. I smirk.

"To take you out, I have a couple of meetings today but tomorrow.." I kiss her lips softly. "Tomorrow you can drag me around every shop you want for baby stuff, okay?" She blushes nodding.

"Okay!" Shoving food in her mouth I smile and go get ready. Taking a shower and changing into a suit I head out.

"I'll see you tonight." I kiss her head.

"Be safe."

"I will." I say closing the door. "Kim." I bump into her on my way out.

"Kensington." She walks in. Getting into the car I make my way to her house.

"Mr Kensington, it's an honour to meet you." This is Kelly Wearstler, one of the best interior designers around.

"Kelly, hi, let me take you on a tour of the house." We look around the house and see the state it's in. "So what do you think? Is it doable?"

"The house is in good shape and I do love a challenge so yes, I believe it's doable. When would you like it done?"

"How quickly can you do it?"

"It can be done it a number of weeks but it will be costly." I shake my head.

"Money is not a problem." She smiles. "Just get it done Kelly."

"Of course." After my meeting with Kelly I head to the next meeting. Meeting after meeting I find myself drowning in work, I haven't been at the office for a while, postponing some meetings and visits. I'm supposed to fly out to Dubai in a couple of days to meet with Prince Sheikh, I've postponed it long enough that I can't anymore so I don't know what to do. My phone rings, it's Aurora.

"Cy it's past midnight." She sounds so worried.

"You shouldn't have waited up for me Angel, head to bed."

"You sound exhausted." I run my hand through my hair. "Do you think you're going to come home soon?"

"No, I don't think so." She sighs.

"Okay well, don't overdo it and I love you."

"I love you." Hanging up I go back to work. Hearing a knock at the door I tell them to come in. "Mary? Why are you here, did something happen to Aurora?" She laughs.

"She's alright sir, already in bed and probably asleep by now. She just sent me over here to give you this." She hands me a huge lunchbox. "She was worried you weren't eating and over working yourself, so she cooked you some food and asked me to deliver it." I smile. "She's a sweetheart that one, always worrying about you."

"Thank you Mary." She nods and leaves. Taking a break, I eat. I need to find a way to make Aurora and I's life as uncomplicated as possible moving forward, to do that I need to move everything that's stressing her out out of the way and that's exactly what I'm going to do. I love this woman, I want her to always be happy and now, I have a little being to think of as well. Done eating, I give myself another hour of work then pack up and head home. I find Aurora already asleep and change then get into bed, she turns to me when she feels my arms wrap around her.

"You're home." She whispers.

"Mhm, I'm sorry I woke you."

"It's okay, you didn't."

"Night Angel." She offers me a small smile.

Aurora's P.O.V

After Cy came home I could finally sleep properly, it seems silly but I can't seem to sleep well without him. It's like him being next to me calms me, soothes me in a way. Feeling a sharp pain around my stomach and back I slowly open my eyes and check my phone. It's almost 4am, I feel the pain again and slowly sit up, putting my hand on my stomach I softly rub around the baby. The pain keeps reacquiring.

"Are you okay my love?" I softly whisper to him/her, smiling, but then I feel liquid pooling from under me. What is that? I can feel my heart start to literally pound out of my chest, shaking Cy I tell him to wake up. "Cy! Cy wake up."

"Aurora what is it?" He sits up. He turns to turn on the light, the moment he does I see blood on the sheets and my eyes pool with tears.

"Cy I think something is wrong with the baby." Tears fall down my cheeks as the words slip through my trembling lips. He looks at me for a second then starts moving as quick as light, getting dressed he also helps me get dressed then carries me to the car. Getting in he steps on the accelerator and we rush to the hospital. I can't stop the tears from falling as I look outside the window, I'm scared. Cy takes a hold of my hand while on the phone with Dr Emma. Parking in the emergency parking, nurses rush out with a gurney and help me out of the car, putting me on it then rushing me inside. As I lay here, watching the lights on the ceiling passing by with tears in my eyes, I put my hand on my small bump thinking that, if I lose this baby it will be the end of everything.
