49. Nine Days

It's been nine days. NINE days Taehyung thinks. He has been quarantined in the dorm for nine whole days. He's bored. After a few days of rehearsing for hours on end, the company gives them a break to relax as they please, knowing that sooner or later, it'll be time to prepare for the world tour. All seven members contemplated going to their home towns but ultimately decided against it, worried that travel bans might be placed, preventing them from returning when the time came. At least they have each other and their spacious dorm right? Right. Taehyung thinks, at the very least they have staff to provide necessities, the other members for companionship, and wifi for entertainment. But he is bored and wants to visit art exhibits or see a movie with his friends or take Yeontan to the park. In reality, all he can do is float around the dorm, joining the other members in whatever activities they may be doing. It's been nine damn days and he's already been beat in overwatch by Jungkook countless times, watched a mind numbing amount of nature documentaries with Namjoon and Seokjin. He goes to observe Yoongi as he produces snippets of music, eventually compiling them into full melodies. Honestly, not much has changed with Yoongi, does he even know they are in quarantine? Taehyung sat in the "genius lab part 2", that's what Yoongi calls his bedroom studio, for hours. Eventually, everything coming from those speakers sounded like white noise, he had to move on to the next member. Hoseok is playing on his switch when he isn't stretching, dancing, or yoga. Taehyung considers joining him but honestly, more video games or any sort of exercise sounds exactly like what he does /not/ want to do right now.

So he finds himself outside of Jimin's bedroom door. He walks in confidently, landing on the bed next to an unbothered Jimin, something they're extremely familiar with. They are soulmates after all.

"I could sense you coming to my room you know." Jimin jokes. His spidey soulmate senses tingling.

"Uggghghhh. It's been nine days Minie, I'm going insane! I think I'm going to die soon, I really do."

Jimin giggles, he understands.

"I know Tae, me too. I started writing a new song, reread it so many times that I hate it now. I don't get how Joon hyung does it."

"Me too! I even started to produce one but it drained my soul. Got so bored I ransacked my closet and painted on a bunch of older clothes, hated most of those too. Then Jungkook beat my ass at overwatch so many times I went to Yoongi's room. My mind was gonna explode listening to all the melodies he was making. Do you think he even knows we're in quarantine Minie? He didn't even move!" Taehyung exaggerates, a wide eyed expression pointed in Jimin's direction, making him laugh with a little squeak.

"Are Namjoon and Jin still watching nature documentaries?"

"Oh God Chim they haven't stopped all day! Joon said he usually goes out into nature for inspiration but since he can't leave, this is the closest he can get, which makes sense I guess. Then Jin hyung as we already know is too whipped for Namjoon to leave his side unless he has too." Taehyung says, a knowing smirk across his face.

"Speaking of whipped, I saw Jungkookie leave your room earlier, anything to say?" he asks, dragging out the question in a teasing manner.

"I wish there was something to /say/. He came in here pouting after you left him to play overwatch on his own. We started to watch some random horror film until he left to use the restroom. That was half an hour ago so I guess he isn't coming back." Jimin says, a pout on his plush lips. Taehyung hasn't really looked at his blonde haired friend since he plopped backwards into his bed, he looks tired.

"Hey are you okay?" he questions, concern apparent in his voice.

"Yeah? Why do you ask?"
