Jimin settled into the couch cushions and tried to get comfortable despite knowing he'd have to move again as soon as Jungkook returned with their drinks.
"Jungkook-ah, hurry up! The episode just went live," he yelled in the direction of the kitchen.
They'd made it a bit of a tradition to watch the new In the Soop episodes every week, choosing not to watch them ahead of time like the others had so they could enjoy the surprise along with ARMY.
"I'm coming! You're so impatient, hyung," Jungkook replied as he entered the room carrying two glasses with a healthy pour of red wine.
"Oh, it's hyung now, is it?" Jimin looked up through his lashes at Jungkook and gave him a slight smirk. His flirting earned him a knee nudging his ribs, encouraging him to scoot over and make room for Jungkook.
"Only when you're being a brat," Jungkook said. He took a sip from one of the glasses. Jimin reached for the other, but Jungkook held it out of Jimin's reach. Jimin made a lunge for it across Jungkook's lap, but Jungkook just stretched further, the wine sloshing perilously close to spilling on their carpet.
"Who's being the brat here?" Jimin pouted. Jungkook smiled wide—his nose scrunching up in a way that made Jimin's pout slip for a fraction of a second—and relented. He handed the glass to Jimin and gave him a peck on the top of his head as a fond apology. Jimin clutched the glass close to his chest and shuffled both of their limbs around until he was comfy and cozy again, situated between Jungkook's legs with his back to Jungkook's chest.
"Okay, okay, that's enough. Can we watch now?" Jungkook asked. He reached around Jimin to press play on the tablet in Jimin's hand. He let his arm fall and rest wrapped around Jimin's waist, fingers stroking the strip of skin exposed by his shirt riding up after all their squirming movement.
The sounds of the theme song they'd worked so hard on as a group floated through the air, and they settled down to watch and remember all the things they had done together with their favorite people in the world not too long ago.
Most of the wine was gone by the time they'd giggled their way through the scene revealing the failed attempts at frying chicken. Jimin had a sudden thought, remembering what exactly had happened later that evening.
"Hey, uh, Jungkook?" he started nervously.
"Mmh?"
"Do you remember that night?"
Jungkook was silent for a moment but after a while responded, "um, yeah, wasn't this when we..." He trailed off and fidgeted a bit. He took both their glasses and set them on the side table before burrowing back into approximately how they'd been resting up against each other before.
"Yeah, uh. No one from the staff said anything, right? Surely they're not going to show anything." Jimin laughed, a slight edge of hysteria lilting at the end. "Right?"
Jungkook tightened his arm around Jimin. "Of course not, they'd edit that out for sure. They might not even mention anything about it at all." His words were firm but his voice betrayed the same nerves that were sending an electric buzzing through Jimin's brain.
They turned back to the screen and watched tensely as things played out. When the scenes cut from the group dinner at night to the members waking up and going about their morning, it seemed as if their fears were for nothing. They began to relax a bit.
Then, the cameras shifted to Jimin still sleeping in his room. On-screen Jungkook shuffled in and joined him in the bed, wrapping his legs around Jimin until he was undeniably spooning his sleepy hyung. The two on the couch held their breaths as Jungkook rolled over and lay there silent for a few moments—giving up on his attempts to wake Jimin—before getting back out of bed with no more than a "this bed is big."
