For reference, Jimin has two programs and here is the music for each:
- Short Program: White Swan (YouTube: Swan Lake, Op. 20, Act 1: Scene (Swan Theme))
- Long Program: Black Swan (YouTube: BTS-Black Swan Orchestral Instrumental (NO VOCALS))Also if you don't know what the kiss and cry is, it is the area where skaters wait for their scores to be announced.
"Presenting his program Black Swan: Park Jimin."
There is a thunderous roar of applause as Jimin skates across the ice, acknowledging his introduction before looping back around to his starting position. With a deep breath, he settles into his opening pose to wait for the familiar strings of his music to come to life. As they do, he pushes off, and the whole arena disappears. It is just him on the ice, embracing the darkness of being the black swan as opposed to the white. Unlike his short program where he is the elegant white swan, he is now tormented and dark, almost sinister. This season's skates have been Jimin's favorites because of the beautiful dichotomy between them, and how they remind him of his life as a professional figure skater.
Before he is even aware of his surroundings again, his free skate is complete. He bows politely as is customary while the sound of applause fades into his mind again, like the connecting threads of reality being the audience's reaction. He makes his way to the rinks exit and his manager is waiting with his blade guards, smiling at him like a proud father even though Jimin is the older one.
"Beautiful as always Min," Taehyung says softly, handing the guards over and helping Jimin as needed. They silently go to the kiss and cry to wait for his scores. The elder isn't nervous, feeling very confident in both of his programs, and knowing there is only one other skater left, he is confident he'll get the gold. But gold isn't what matters at this show.
"Olympics worthy?" Jimin asks Taehyung quietly as they wait.
"Absolutely. They would be crazy to not take you again. If your programs are not Olympic gold worthy, I have no idea what is," Taehyung tells him confidently.
Jimin simply nods, focusing his attention on where his marks will be displayed. It isn't a long wait as the announcer's booming voice returns to inform the arena and Jimin's eyes are locked on one specific number.
335.30
Taehyung is cheering so loud next to Jimin that he honestly can't hear anything else. He turns to the excited man and gives him a big hug. He only smiles softly to himself and his manager, ignoring the television cameras inspecting his every move.
They are quickly escorted out of the kiss and cry as the final skater takes the ice. Jimin knows he has secured gold here. But it's the Olympics decision he needs to hear more.
"Park," an unfortunately familiar voice says behind him and Jimin immediately scowls to himself before putting on a blank expression and turning to face the other man. "Guess you're packing your bags for the third time."
"Byun," Jimin begins. "And I have yet to be told a decision."
"Oh please, you've already gone to the Olympics twice and got gold both times. You don't have to be so diplomatic about it."
"It's not diplomacy to keep my expectations neutral. It's simply my best interest."
"No wonder they call you Korea's ice prince. Your heart is as cold as the ice we skate on."
"At least my ice is Olympic."
The other man rolls his eyes and walks past Jimin, close enough for their shoulders to graze but not actually run into the man. With the other skater gone, Jimin let out a long sigh and shook the interaction out of his head.
