Secret Succubus- a Damon OC Story

Chapter 9

A/N: Reminder Damon never killed Lexi in this story. Succubus stuff is coming in a few chapters I promise and then things will get HOTTTT!

3rd Person POV:

Damon had taken off early this morning to seek out an old friend in Georgia, he was hoping she'd be able to tell him another way of getting Katherine out of the tomb. Elena and Nyssa had agreed to meet with Stefan at the Grill and talk.

Stefan found the girls sitting outside and walked over to join them,

"Thank you both for giving me this chance to explain."

"Yeah well, when you Google 'vampire' you get a world of fiction. What's the reality?" Elena said in a low voice so they wouldn't be overheard by anyone walking by.

"I'll tell you anything you want to know, where do you want to start?"

Elena shrugs, "I know you eat garlic,"

Nyssa smiles at her sister.

"Yes," Stefan admits. 

Elena looks up and squints slightly, "And somehow, sunlight's not an issue."

Stefan nods, "we have rings that protect us," he explains twisting his around slightly.

"Crucifixes?" 

"Decorative." 

"Holy water?"

"Drinkable."

"Mirrors?"

"Myth."

"You said you're not like Damon... that you wouldn't hurt me, does that mean he would?" Elena says finally asking a real question.

"I don't drink from people, animal blood keeps me alive but not as strong as Damon. He is... unpredictable, doesn't dwell so much on the morality of things, he can be very powerful when going after something he wants, I would keep your distance when you can."

Elena takes this in and nods, "thank god he didn't hurt you," she says to Nyssa.

"He didn't, right?" She asks her sister double-checking.

"No, he was preoccupied that night, essential just drove me there and drove me home."

Elena nods having no reason to doubt her sister's words but Stefan can hear the jump in her heartbeat and knows she's not being entirely honest.

"There's something else you need to be aware of," Stefan says leaning closer to them.

"There's a thing call compulsion, as vampires we can manipulate a person's actions and thoughts."

Elena looks very alarmed, "What?"

"The ability is only blocked by a plant, vervain. I want you to have this, vervain is hard to come by but I've had this for years, it will keep your mind safe from vampires," he says handing over a beautiful locket to Elena.

Elena accepts it touched by the gesture but then looks over to Nyssa, "what about my sister, she's been around Damon a lot more than I have."

"He's not here right now, he took off this morning, I'll keep looking for more I promise."

Elena nods somewhat reassured.

"Is there anything else you want to know, either of you?" Stefan asks.

"Aside from you and Damon, are there any others?" Elena asks. 

"Not in Mystic Falls; not anymore."
