A/N: super short teaser chapter, next long one will be up this weekend
Nyssa came to after getting an elbow jammed into her side.
"Owe, dammit," she said opening her eyes trying to figure out where she was.
"You're on my side!" An upset voice told her.
It was tight but she managed to turn around to see Katherine laying down next to her.
"On your side of what?" She asked as the car they were in hit a bump in the road jostling them together making her realize she and Katherine were in the trunk of a car, having been abducted together.
She though back to the masquerade party and trying to catch up to Katherine outside when someone hit her from behind.
"Just my side," Katherine said trying to argue for more space.
"I'm sorry this isn't some sexy 'out of sight' scene but we were kidnapped together I don't think our comfort is supposed to be guaranteed," Nyssa argues back.
"Whatever just move over." Katherine tells her.
"To where? Where would you like me to move??"
"Ugh," Katherine sighed finally giving up on getting comfortable she decided to try and focus on something else.
"So what do you think about becoming an aunty?"
"We don't know for sure she's pregnant."
"Caroline sounded pretty sure," Katherine says.
"Why do you care?"
"This kid will technically be my family too," Katherine argues.
"Well so is Elena that hasn't stopped you from trying to sacrifice her life along with some stupid rock."
"It's different, she wears my face, we shouldn't both be alive at the same time. Its just in doppelgängers nature to ensure you're the one who survives. I won't feel bad about that. I'm a survivor it's who I am."
Nyssa guessed she might have had a point but when it was her sister that might lose to Katherine it no longer seemed so cut and dry.
"Well, how do you feel about being a great great great great great great great grandmother? What will you have the kid call you? I personally vote for nana."
"Over everyone's dead bodies will anyone ever refer to me as that!"
"If you say so nana," Nyssa says taunting her.
Katherine shoves her and Nyssa shoves back but suddenly the car comes to a stop and the two stop fighting and share a look.
Like it or not they were in this together and if they were gonna get out of this they might have to make peace even temporarily and work together.
