Mystic Falls

Elena called and told Nyssa she needed her so Nys was on her way over much to Damon's disappointment.

"Please don't leave me alone with Katherine," he said giving her puppy eyes.

"I'm sorry but Elena needs me, if I'm not too tired after we talk I'll come back over."

"Why can't Stefan help, isn't that his duty as baby daddy?"

"Perhaps but sometimes there are things only a sister can help with, you'll be okay, I promise," she tells him before leaving for the Gilbert house.

Once she gets there she climbs up to Elena's window not wanting to risk running into John if she uses the front door.

Elena lets her in and the two sit on her bed.

"So, what's up?"

Elena looks down.

"Hey, you alright, did something happen?" Nyssa asks.

"It's John he asked if I planned to give the baby up, he said the baby deserved a better life than being around a bunch of vampires,"

"That son of bitch, look you and Stefan aren't vampires. If you want Damon and I to stay away we will but let me tell you something. Before Miranda and Greyson I had another adopted dad, Eric. He was a vampire and I loved him so much. No one else ever could have fought for me and protected me the way he did. And if you decide to allow Damon and I in this kid's life I promise you we would never let any harm come to him or her."

Elena took a deep breath, "thanks, and of course, I don't want you and Damon to stay away from us. I just, I really want to be a good mom."

Nyssa nods, "you will be, can you really imagine someone else in this world loving that kid more than you will?"

Elena shakes her head, "no, no, I'm sure I'm gonna make a thousand different mistakes but I already love them so much," she tells her sister.

"See that's all that matters, well that and you know the basic food, shelter, education, etc. But love, that's the big one," Nyssa tells her.

Elena nods and smiles, "thanks, would you mind staying here tonight?" she asks.

"Of course, no problem," Nyssa tells her and the two get under the covers before opening up a laptop and finding something to watch.

New Orleans

Meanwhile unbeknownst to anyone Marcel had offered an olive branch to the witches in New Orleans. If they managed to find the location of Rebekah's coffin he would allow the witch responsible and their extended family to practice again.

Every witch had made this their number one priority for the past 2 months and finally one had come through.

"So you have something to tell me?" He asked the witch that had come forward claiming success. Her name was Sophie Deveraux.

"You had us looking in the wrong place," Sophie told Marcel.

"What do you mean?"

"She wasn't in the ocean... or any body of water, she is in a warehouse not far from Chicago."

Marcel grins, "so Klaus lied to Elijah, he didn't throw them away."

Mystic Falls

Damon was enjoying a relaxing bubble bath when there was a knock on the front door.

He rolled his eyes before shouting out, "Katherine! Get the door!"

"You get it!" she shouted back.

"I'm in the tub, just answer the door!"

"I'm doing my nails!" She argued.

"You physically can't leave the property who cares if your nails are done!?"

"I do, so fuck off!"

Damoned groaned deciding to give up and climbed out of the tub wrapping a towel around himself quickly heading down to answer the door.

He threw it open shouting, "what?!" before seeing Rick, "oh, sorry Rick, why are you here?"

"Jenna and I had a fight, mind if I crash here?" he asked.

Damon looked confused, "don't you still have your own place?"

"Yes, I do but John has been driving her so mad she's taken it over," Rick explains.

"Huh, alright come on in," Damon says.

Rick walks in the house with a barely concealed smirk.

Damon runs back up to his room slipping back into the tub before grabbing his phone to text Nyssa.

"How's sister bonding time?"

"Going well, sorry doesn't look like I'm gonna make it back over tonight,"

"Don't worry about it, Im having my own impromptu sleep over."

"What do you mean?" Nys texted back.

"Rick showed up wanting to stay, apparently Jenna is at his place and they've had a fight."

"No they didn't. Jenna is here I just heard her shout to Jeremy to get Vicky out of his room before John saw." Nyssa tells him.

Damon is confused not understanding why Rick would lie to him but decides to let it go and tries to enjoy whats left of his bath time.

Back at the Gilbert house Elena notices the confused face Nyssa is giving her phone.

"Everything alright?"

"Uh yeah, I think so. Damon said Rick showed up asking to spend the night because Jenna was at his place and they had a fight," Nys explains.

"But she's here isn't she?" Elena says.

"Yeah, I mean we just heard her." 

The girls get out of bed and walk out of Elena's room searching for Jenna. They find her in their parents old bedroom she took over when she moved in.

"Hey, girls everything alright?" she asks looking up from her school work.

"Uh, yeah did you and Rick have a fight tho?" Elena asks.

"No, why?" 

"It's just he asked Damon if he could crash at the boarding house," Nyssa tells her aunt.

"Whats wrong with his place?" Jenna asks.

"Thats what we're trying to figure out."

They decided to let it go for the night and let Jenna talk to him tomorrow but halfway through the night it was still bothering Nyssa and she decided to sneak back over to the boarding house.

Damon POV:

Rick and I ended up drinking until he passed out, he was a little bit off tonight, kept wanting to talk about Katherine which was weird.

I hear the front door open and start to sit up in bed when I hear the intruder go from calmly walking in to suddenly racing up the stairs.

Nyssa bursts into my room looking spooked.

"Hey, what is it? Whats wrong?" I ask taking in her alarmed state.

"Thats not Rick," she says out of breath.

"What?"

"The guy passed out on the sofa downstairs, isn't ALARIC!" she says again.

"So what he has a twin he never told us about?" I ask not understanding.

She shakes her head, "I don't think so."
