3rd Person POV:

Katherine was waiting in her room at Mrs. Flowers B&B for Mason to arrive. Once he comes in she immediately starts her inquisition.

"Finally! So?" She asks.

"So..." Mason responds not knowing what she's trying to ask.

Katherine rolls her eyes and huffs a bit, "Nyssa, is she a vampire?"

Mason closes his eyes, "Shit, I'm sorry I forgot to-"

"Forgot to what?!" Katherine yells

"I'm sorry, I was a bit distracted!" Mason shouts back.

"At what? That bitch broke my nose there is no way a human could do that so she's either a vampire or a werewolf, I asked you to find out which. What the hell could have distracted you?" Katherine asks furious her minion/boy toy hadn't done exactly as was asked of him.

"Stefan broke his leg," he explains.

"What at the barbeque, oh did Jenna see it heal does she know about vampires now?" Katherine asks wanting clarification.

"No, he came in with a broken leg, complete with cast and crutches."

"Wait what?" Katherine asks confused.

"Now you see why I was a bit distracted, and that's not all."

"What else is there?" She asks.

"I shook his hand and he cried out ow!" Mason explains.

"So what are you saying," Katherine asks.

"I'm saying I don't know if Nyssa is a vampire but I'm pretty certain Stefan isn't."

"That's not possible," Katherine tells him but Mason just shrugs his shoulders not knowing what else to say.

Stefan POV:

I'm human, I'm human, I'm human... the thought had been circulating in my head nonstop.

"Hey," I hear Elena say as she sits on the couch with me. She brought me over some ice for my hand that Mason managed to bruise the hell out of earlier.

"Still in pain?" She asks and I nod.

"Can't remember were you this wimpy last time you were human or is this a new development?" My brother so thoughtfully asks leaning against the wall in the corner.

"I'm telling you there's something off with Mason Lockwood," I respond.

"So he has a strong grip, I'll alert the media," Damon quips back.

"No, alright it was more than that,"

"More than what?" Nyssa asks coming into the living room and going to stand in front of Damon, leaning back into him as he rests one arm around her waist. Huh, I thought they were just doing the friends with benefits thing but this move is decidedly more intimate.

"um, more than human strength," I tell them shaking my head a little to stop being distracted by my brother potentially being in a serious relationship whether he knows it or not.

"So Mason Lockwood might be a vampire?" Elena asks.

"I didn't see any daylight jewelry," Nyssa playing with a new necklace she picked up while shopping for Caroline earlier. She was never going to be a vampire, Damon's blood no longer had the ability to heal her now that she was a full Succubus, so it was doubtful it would do anything if she were to die with it in her system. She just found the lapis lazuli stone pretty even without the magical enhancement.

"Could he have been wearing it somewhere we just couldn't see it?" Elena asks.

"What like an ankle bracelet or toe ring?" Nyssa asks grinning at the image.

"That's not how it works, the jewelry only works if it's exposed to the sun, it would be useless under his pant leg or stuffed in his boots," Damon explains.

"Maybe he's something other than a vampire?" Nyssa suggests.

"Well, what else is there?" Elena asks.

"Nothing, just vampires and witches... and the occasional rare succubus," Damon adds after Nyssa clears her throat almost being left off his list.

"Right but until you met me, you didn't think those were real either so it's possible there is more in the supernatural community that you're aware of," Nyssa says.

We all exchange a look knowing she might be right but that leaves almost endless possibilities.

"Could you tell anything from his aura?" Damon asks and Elena and I share a confused look.

"Aura?" Elena asks.

"Um yeah I can sort of see people's energies, it's how I was able to tell it was Katherine impersonating you at Mayor Lockwood's funeral."

"Oh, um okay," Elena says,  "so what did you see when you looked at Mason? "

Nyssa shrugs, "nothing that unusual, definitely nothing as dark as Katherine or John's. It was a light brown that transitioned into a deep navy. I would say he is deeply loyal, in search of peace, might have a fear of loneliness or isolation but is overall a strong dependable person."

"Wow, you can tell all that from his aura? What does mine look like?" Elena asks.

"Yours is a light Kelly Green, you always want to grow and improve, you love being a calming source for others but need time alone to re-energize, you are prone to jealousy but if you feel you are on the right path you want nothing but the success of all those around you."

"Wait, you think I'm prone to jealousy?" Elena asks obviously offended by her sister's reading of her.

"I said a lot of other nice stuff too," Nyssa says in defense of herself.

"Alright you can retake this cosmo quiz later back to Lockwood, what do you think he can be if he's not human and not a vampire?" Damon says talking to me.

"What other supernatural creatures are there?" I ask wanting options before I make my guess.

"Uh there have been tales of Mermaids, dragons, centaurs, zombies, werewolves, unicorns, faeries..." Nyssa says listing all the supernatural creatures she can think of.

But Damon and I's eyes locked the second she mentioned werewolves.

Fuck.
