Secret Succubus- a Damon OC Story

Cats and Bags

Previously: Stefan came into Damon's room and urged him to go over to Elena's for an emergency meeting.

3rd Person POV:

Damon left Nyssa still reeling in the bathroom and quickly grabbed a change of clothes before ducking into the spare room where he slept last night. 

He quickly grabbed the book he had left open on the bed and stashed it under the mattress before changing.

Not the best hiding place but he was in a rush. After coming home from re-burning the old Gilbert offices last night he had immediately grabbed the Succubus book and tried to translate as much as possible.

He didn't get far but he did learn when they are first "activated," they can draw energy from as many as 300 people in the surrounding area.  

He hadn't heard about anyone being discovered nearby mummified. Perhaps the years on the vampires in the basement with them had kept any civilians walking nearby from perishing.

He wondered why he hadn't also been affected by Nyssa but the book hadn't mentioned what, if anything, happens to the sexual partner during "activation."

It also didn't mention how large the body count may be for any subsequent romps. 

He would have to keep reading and translating to learn more but right now there was an all-important meeting at Elena's that apparently required his attendance.

Upon arriving at the Gilbert house he was less than pleased with the current guest list for this meeting.

Bonnie and Jeremy and "Grams," were present and while the 2 latter were just a whiny nuisance the former was sitting at the kitchen table as if this wasn't all her fault.

Damon quickly learned that not only did Katherine make an appearance last night and chopped off John's fingers but Caroline was also in a car accident and now in critical condition.

While Katherine's arrival was definitely news no one was about to shed a tear for John, not even Elena after what he did to Nyssa.

"Any news on Caroline?" Bonnie asked the guilt oozing off her.

"Matt called," Elena says, "he said she's pretty weak, they don't know if she's going to make it."

Bonnie seems traumatized at the news, "what?"

She turns to her Grams, "is there something that you can do? Like a spell or something?"

"No, I'm sorry, she's in the middle of a hospital constantly monitored even if a spell might help it's too risky to perform."

"What if Stefan or Damon gave her some blood?" Elena suggests.

"And how would you explain her miraculous recovery to her mother who we just learned is pretty trigger happy when it comes to the supernatural?" Damon asks.

"Well, we have to do something, this is Caroline we're talking about. Wait where is Nyssa why didn't she come with you?"

"She's still recovering from all the smoke inhalation yesterday," Damon responds pointedly looking at Bonnie.

"She looked fine when I saw her earlier," Stefan comments.

Causing Damon the grind his teeth in frustration, "yes, well of course I gave her some blood to help her heal physically but she's still a bit traumatized and not ready to be around everyone just yet."

Elena nods knowing Nyssa doesn't like large or tense gatherings and this could very well count as both.

Jenna enters having just visited John in the hospital, "well the cockroach is going to make it," she tenderly informs Elena and Jeremy about their uncle's status, "still can't believe someone came into our house and just attacked him, although this is John we are talking about..."
