I felt my seat being kick and looked back to see Makar slowly pull his foot away, squinting my eyes. I asked him a question.

"If you knew I was going to be upset, why would you do it in the first place? On top of that, lose the attitude." I told the boy who squinted his eyes at me. It's been a few months since we came back to America and Makar has been acting a fool.

I blame the grandparents.

Mind you we just came from a parents teacher conference that was scheduled because of his snotty ass behavior.

"Im tall not fault my dad tall." His tone was sharp so I pop his mouth and he move sliding out his seat belt to sit in the seat behind Ruslan covering his mouth. I heard the man laugh and I looked at him.

"He gets it from you." I roll my eyes leaning back in my seat looking out the window.

"Don't yell at me, it makes me uncomfortable." Ruslan smart remark came out and I was going to smack him but held my own hand.

"I didn't yell if anything I raised my voice, plus how yelling makes you out of all people uncomfortable?" I huffed drawing my attention back to the window.

"Because I refuse to argue while our son is in the car." He stated and looked at him sharing a look before turning my head back.

"I don't appreciate how nonchalant you are with his attitude." I throw the truth out there.

"I'm right here." Makar said loudly.

"And mind your business." I said towards him.

"Topic about me so it-

"I will smack the shit out of you." Ruslan said and the car grew silent before he spoke again. "I'm nonchalant because his behavior can easily be fixed." He finished and I scrunched up my face.

"He called his teacher a dickhead." I reminded him.

"Because he kicked me out for laughing." Makar raised his voice a little and I whipped my head back.

"Shouldn't laugh and focus on your work." I snapped back at the boy who pouted.

"How do you sound? That's like saying if I see grass it ain't green. If I find something funny mama I'ma laugh." He snap back and I stop arguing with him there because there's no use he's going to drag it.

"What was it when we got back, first it was fighting with another student over a game? Then phone calls for the first couple of weeks on you distracting and being disrespectful. We talked private before they made a conference with us, we talked without your mother did we not?" Ruslan stopped at a stop light and looked at the rearview mirror. I look back at Makar seeing him getting quiet bringing his attention to his phone.

"Yeah…"

"You told me you'll do better and you didn't Makar." Ruslan's voice was stern while Makar pouted trying to hide behind his phone.

"I didn't have enough time." He complained.

"You had a week." Ruslan fact checked and I held in a laugh because he said it so fast.

"What's a week without an extra few days?" Makar smart ass said and I couldn't help but correct him.

"The weekend." I commented and he sucked his teeth.

"Give your mother the phone." My partner demanded and Makar showed a shocked expression.

"The phone?" He asked his father and I felt the car move assuming we got a green light. I gently took the phone from my son hand and put it in my purse.
