I smiled while Ruslan set my plate in front of me as he pulled a chair beside me sitting down setting his plate on the table. Makar sat across from us already digging in his plate already while his phone was sat up against one of the small picture frames.

"You're doing anything tomorrow?" I asked starting a conversation, Ruslan was eating but paused before setting his fork down as his face held a thoughtful expression.

"I have a therapy appointment that's around eight, I made it early since I have work and I don't know what time I might come home." He said and I huff but didn't show my little attitude.

Going to be bored tomorrow.

"Your schedule is pretty full." I muttered, usually I would asked to come with but I know that's a no now. Boundaries.

"Is there somewhere you wanted to go?" He asked and I shook my head no. "Is there something you want?" He asked a followed up question and I scrunched my face shaking my head.

"No, you- just have a full day ahead of you that's all." I kinda repeated myself, I just want some ... 'Us' time if that makes sense. Like no job, friends and family interruptions just me and him. I don't mind Makar, it's more so like I want Ruslan just here with us, none of our siblings contacting or bothering us.

That's what I want selfishly.

"We can have lunch together if you like." He suggested and I smiled at that nodding my head.

"A lunch date is nice, I just don't wanna be inside all day." I agreed to having lunch while I mess with my food a little before taking another bite.

My eyes shift from Ruslan to Makar who was minding his own business watching whatever he had on his phone.

"The book fair coming up, Do you know how much money you want so you can have something to spend at the event?" I asked Makar pulling him out of his own world.

"If I'm getting money I'ma pocket it." He said making Ruslan laugh trying to eat.

"You don't wanna buy a book?" I asked and he blink.

"Mama do you want a book?" He asked and I laughed.

"No, damn Makar I'm just asking so you won't be standing there bored." I admit watching him munch on his food.

"That's why I asked for the bouncy house." He said shrugging his shoulder.

"You can't just play now you gotta do some learning activities." I pushed the thought.

"Why not my dad paid for it" He said sounding offended.

"I read." Ruslan spoke and Makar facial expression send me because the boy looked shocked.

"Why?"

"Because I like information." He said to Makar who stare in awe as if he found a gem. "What you think all the books in my office is there for?" Ruslan asked the boy who wore a smug look sitting up in his seat.

"Decorations." He answered and I let out a laugh. "Aunt Avery has them around her house but she barely picks one up." He said and Ruslan smiled.

"Your aunt likes to look smart she's really dumb." He joke making Makar laugh. My phone started to ring. I let the two get immerse in their conversation while I answered my phone.

"Ya?"

"What you doing." My sister asked.

"Hi to you too." I said which earn a small giggle over the phone

"Hey boo, what you up to?" She proceeded to asked her question.

"Having dinner with Makar and Ruslan." I answered. "And you?" I asked her being polite.
