Oh were settled in on the couch, nearly hacking yourself to death. You could not stop coughing.
Taylor was worried about your condition and called in for a day off from the studio so she could take care of you. This was the kind of sickness where you needed someone there with you, not the usual where you could handle this on your own. If there was hell on earth, you are living through it. With you unable to stop coughing, Taylor returns from the kitchen with a cup of water. Taking her spot next to you, she hands it over to you and you immediately chug it down as you felt Taylor's hand placed gently on your back.
"Here, this will help." Taylor says.
As you finished your water, Taylor mentions something about going to see the doctor. Ever since she learned of your fear in going to a doctor's office, she made an arrangement so that the doctor could come see you at home, and that seemed to help you in letting go of your fear. While you wait for your doctor appointment, Taylor turns on your favorite show, The Golden Girls, before going back to the kitchen to make you some soup. Soup was always something you go to whenever you were sick like this. One other thing you do, and have done since you were little, was you would call your grandma because she knew how to make things better as you heal. Just as your show started, the doorbell rings, indicating your appointment was here. After hitting the pause button, Taylor stalks over to the door and lets your visitor in, leading her to you. Because you felt too weak to stand on your own, you remained where you were as you let the visitor find you.
She was one of the best people you know, aside from Taylor. Before she could even begin a question, you started coughing uncontrollably resulting in Taylor going back to the kitchen to refill your cup. Her name was Dr. Belle and as you were gaining more control of your coughing, she begins to speak with you about your condition. After performing the usual vital tests, she begins to chat with Taylor, informing that you had both strep and a fever.
"Get lots of rest, drink plenty of liquids, and if you're not better by Monday, give me a call." She instructs before letting herself out.
During the rest of the week, Taylor made sure you had followed the doctor's orders and despite your protests against that, as well as your stubbornness, you were thankful for Taylor pushing you in doing what it takes to recover, you were now fully healed and by the end of the week, you felt like a whole new person thanks to Taylor's love and care for you.
...and again, it's all thanks to Taylor and her care.
