Everyone who knows you would describe you as someone who is always keeping things neat and organized up to your own standards. You hardly ever take it as an offense, mainly because that was really who you are, the only time you take it the wrong way is if they playfully tease you about it. Teasing was something you just couldn't stand, whether it was playful or intentional.
Taylor was always careful and respective about it, she never teased you unless you're in the middle of an argument. Any time Taylor was gone at the studio, you were left behind for the short while and you always took that opportunity to tidy up the house so it's nice and clean for when she comes home. However, the only thing that seemed to be cluttering that house today was the overflowing laundry baskets. Laundry was something you both do together, but you wanted to it for Taylor because you know she'd be too tired after getting off. There was a lot of laundry to get done, and by the time it was for her to get off, you the last of it in the washer and dryer.
Before putting the first load in, you'd sort them out by color. When you were going through the whites and reds, you were sure they were all separate. What you didn't see while putting them in was there was Taylor's favorite white blouse she often wears mixed on the inside of one of your red shirts. It never crossed your mind that you should double check, so you put on your favorite movie and waited for her to come home. Your attention was driven away from the screen in front of you after hearing the heavy front door open and close, followed by the sound of Taylor's footsteps making their way to you. You get up to greet her, but the look on her face was what stopped you, the look was telling you she didn't have a very good day. Taylor often shows how she feels by actions more then words. You give her a small smile while she gave a you a glare in return, something you weren't expecting.
As she sits down on the couch next to you, neither of you speak. Thinking she didn't have any intention on saying anything, you turned your attention back to the tv, thinking Taylor just needed a minute to cool down. However, she becomes the first to speak, and when she does, it takes you back by surprise, you never being exposed to this side of her before.
"Well? Aren't you gonna ask me how my day was?" She says curtly, not really looking at you.
"How was your d-"
"It was fine! Thanks for asking!" She snapped before getting back on her feet.
She then leaves your company, what caught you off guard was the way she left, she left like she was almost angry at you.
You debated whether or not to follow her, but decided against the idea. Not even five minutes later, you're movie was interrupted by her calling your name from the laundry room and by the sound of her voice, she didn't sound too happy.
"(Y/N)!"
Instead of yelling back a response, you rushed to where she was, thinking something happened.
Something did happen, however, not in the way you had originally thought. When you got to where she was, the first thing you see is of Taylor holding up her favorite white blouse, or what used to be a white blouse. After seeing it being stained with red, you then notice a red shirt she had laid over the top of the dryer before you try to apologize for your mistake.
"Did you do this?"
"Yes, but I honestly didn't mean to. I made sure to not put in mixed colors together."
"Well, I think you missed one. What did I do to deserve this? Is this coming from the fact I can't live up to all your standards? Do you really think that low of me?"
"N-no. It was an honest mistake-"
"Oh, just save it! I can't believe you! Today was already bad enough and now because of this, you've only made it worse. I can't even stand to look at you right, (Y/n)!"
When you could say nothing, she stomped away and slammed the bathroom shut before turning on the shower.
Whenever it was a bad day for Taylor, she was always so careful about not snapping at you, or taking it out on you any other way. After her snapping at you made you feel bad of course, it had you standing there a little longer before you decided that all you could really do at this point was to return to finish your movie. Before going back, you go to retrieve your favorite blanket, wrapping it around your shoulders. A little bit later, the next thing you know you had fallen asleep while watching your movie. The funny thing is that you don't remember falling asleep, as the next thing you know, you're being shaken awake by Taylor. Your eyes were only half open when she began to apologize for being snippy at you earlier.
"Listen, I know you probably don't want me around right now, so I won't be long. You don't have to say anything, listening is all I ask for you to do."
As you prop yourself up, you seemed to be a little more awake enough for Taylor to continue.
"I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier, it was just a bad day and I know that's still no excuse. It wasn't fair of me to take my bad day out on you while all you were doing was trying to help."
Thinking she didn't have anything else to say, you open your mouth to say something before she stops you, knowing already what you were going to say.
"Don't say it's okay, because it's not."
"I know, but I can't help the way I feel wanting to say what I want to."
"I know, baby. I know."
"Should we forget this happened, and leave it in the past?"
"There's nothing I would agree with more. What do you want to do now? Do you want to go back to sleep, or..?"
"Do you want to start this movie over with me and we can have a movie night?"
"That sounds amazing, and it's something I think I need after the day I've had."
As you start the movie from the beginning, Taylor heads out to make some popcorn that you both enjoy. All that you could process in mind at the moment was the idea of this being a last minute date that was very much needed, but you know Taylor was the one who needed it the most.
She reminded you daily that if a bad day ever came her way, you were the cure for it, and it wasn't long after you find out that was really true. Not just for a bad day, but for anything else that's become a challenge for her to handle on her own.
Other then her mom, Taylor comes to you above all anyone else she knows.
