Summary: Taylor does ever she can think of to impress you as soon as she begins feeling more affectionate towards you***
Though you and Taylor exchanged small talks, she couldn't help but feel as though you were a bit hard to come by and for getting to know you more personally.
Not long after your first meeting, she was beginning to feel more and more affectionate, fond of you. Perhaps more then she should, Taylor can admit to herself that these feelings for another woman was all new to her all over again. Ever since her ex, Taylor thought she would never find the love again until she had met you.
Ever since she saw you, she found the both of you becoming much closer. Possibly a little too close for comfort in the mind's eye. The way it looked to you both would be deemed as unprofessional because of how close the two of you are becoming. But before you could really pull away, you found yourself falling for her, returning the feelings in silence. While working together, you often try and maintain your distance as you keep your mind busy to focus on some other things in order to avoid letting yourself get distracted by your own thoughts.
It was never your intention to use this step during your career to hurt Taylor. Before you know it, the both of you start drifting apart from each other and Taylor didn't want to let herself think you had forgotten about her. While working for Taylor, you'd see her childhood best friend, Abigail walk in every so often. Most of the day you had been kept occupied, keeping yourself busy that Taylor's absence become close to being unnoticed. The next time you see her, you see her walking out with Abigail, taking note that Abigail whispers something in Taylor's ear after making brief eye contact with you. At first, it didn't peak an interest to at first, for what might have been said.
The curiosity had consumed you when you unexpectedly feel a soft hand being placed on your bare shoulder; causing you to slightly jump in fright. When you turned to see Taylor, you then begin to realize how she had been acting around you lately. It was as though she was trying too hard to use everything that she has within her to impress you.
"Hi, Taylor! I'm glad to have you back in my sights."
Taylor gives you her winning smile, followed by some more small talk. However, this one would be different, Taylor did most of the talking as you listen intently, keeping your mind on your work as you did so. These conversations between you have always been same old, same old. But not this time, this time is you not knowing she was using advice Abigail had left her with.
"If you really want to impress her, all you have to do is be yourself. That's the golden rule. The next step is to start up conversing with meaningful, sincerity, open and confidence. Followed by staying positive, even if you've been through a bad day. Be curteous and attentive."
Shortly after being given advice, starting up a conversation with you, Taylor finally gathers the courage she needed in order to do something she's been wanting for a long while. Taylor was going to ask you out, before she did, she silently had thought it over of how she wanted to do it, what to say, and most importantly, mention an activity for you to do if you accept her invitation. The idea of Starbucks had come to mind after feeling a cold breeze enter from an opened window. It was decided so why the hell not, right?
The timing wouldn't be until after work of course.
"Y/n?"
"Yes?"
"How would you feel going to get something from Starbucks sometime? Just you and me?"
"Are you asking me out?" You say, a huge grin forming on your lips.
"Yeah, I am."
Taylor returns the smile as you accept her invitation for a date.
"I'd love to!"
"Should we say after you're through working?"
"It's a date!"
