"Yes, I met her once on the same plane and she called me beautiful."
That was a white lie you were telling, trying to get yourself discovered and ranked as one of the popular kids. Popularity was something you had chased after for the longest time now, and nothing you did made you successful... popularity was very toxic. It was something you learned in the hard way back in the day, once upon a time.
What happened was you were pretty much friendless in school and it was with great determination to do anything to change that. During lunch one day, you had decided to sit at the same table claimed by the popular kids. Things couldn't have gone anymore wrong as they did. After a simple "Hello" you got creamed as they poured wet, sticky soda down your shirt before telling you to basically f***k off. It backfired on you when you believed you wouldn't encounter them again. However, the following day proved you to be wrong about that matter. As you were on your way to class, you had come to a halt when you were stopped by the same group of kids.
"Excuse me." You say.
No one had moved. Instead, they're as still statues. Trying to get around them was impossible as you were being shoved back.
"Why should we? You're not cool enough to be respected by us." One of them, who you learned to go by the name of Violet, snarled.
You felt your cheeks blush a light shade of pink as you kept looking down, refusing to look at her in the eye. That is, until an idea for an unexpected answer had come to mind. What you were about to say wouldn't be anything more than a white lie. But at that point, you were more than willing to do or say anything to fit in, to be seen as anointed as someone you want to be.
Popularity was ugly, and you were just about to get your taste of it.

Sitting in your seat on the plane, yo made yourself comfortable before playing away on your phone.
You were going through your phone when you felt someone taking the seat next to you. Once you saw who it was, you couldn't believe it.
It was Taylor Swift! The person sitting next to you was Taylor, your idol. Taylor was not only an idol who you looked up to, but she was somebody who you had a huge crush on. Staring was rude but you couldn't but watch as she pulls out a journal and begins to write whatever was on her mind. Taylor didn't acknowledge you, she didn't seem to know of your presence as she sat down next to you without so much as a greeting. The plane soon takes off to your destination. During that time, you couldn't help yourself to not throw glances at her when you were sure she was looking or would notice. But she had caught you numerous times of you seemingly to take an interest, checking her out.
A couple hours later, you arrive to where you're supposed to be. Taylor gets off before you and just as you were about to take off, you stop abruptly noticing that Taylor mistakenly left her journal behind. Picking it up, you decided to try and catch up to her so that you can return it. Taylor came into view as she was waiting for her luggage. Walking over, you nervously tapped her shoulder from behind, giving her a slight scare. Taylor scowls before you could reveal what it is you had. What came next, was a reaction you weren't expecting.
"Here, you left this on the plane."
"That's just awesome. You could've returned this without invading my privacy, exposing your eyes to what is supposed to be for my eyes only."
Of course, that made you feel terrible. Especially when she rudely snatched it from your grasp.
"Listen, I didn't read a single word that you wrote down. I'm not one to stick my nose to where it doesn't belong, I only wanted to give this back to you before someone else finds it and selfishly keep it for themselves."
Without another word, you turn on your heal and make your way to the vending machines for a snack while waiting to be picked up. As you rummage in your bag for coins, Taylor comes out of nowhere and slips coins in before you could protest, while asking you what you wanted from there. This sudden generosity took you by surprise, considering how she was rude to you earlier. Once it was all paid for, you thank her while letting her know that she didn't have to do that for you.
"Yes I did. I needed to do something to make it right for how I acted earlier. Listen, I'm sorry for the way I treated you earlier and I want to make it up to you sometime."
"How do?"
"How about and date?"
"I'd love to! When?"
After discussing this subject with Taylor, your ride comes and you leave with exchanging phone numbers with Taylor.
