There was truly nothing more in the world that you hated more then confrontations. However, confrontations were a rare occasion between you and Taylor. You don't realize it yet, but you were about to experience one that had never been so intense and/or heated into a full on argument. Of course, everything you say to each other during these things were never something either of you had truly meant, it was just the both of you allowing anger and frustration to battle against each other.
Although those were just words, and knowing that what the words were said never truly meant anything, it was just the anger talking with hurtful words and insults. Any little fights that crossed you both, were easily resolved after taking the time to talk it out with each other. But the reason for this one, is a big reason, but it's not true at all. What had happened that caused things to get out of hand too quickly was the fact that your girlfriend hadn't gotten home until late, and because she was gone by the time you wake up in the morning, you hardly see her and all you wanted was for Taylor to take a break spend some time together. Taylor had a busy schedule, and didn't seem to have time for you anymore and that made you feel lonely and even unwanted, by her.
This caused you to hurt for not being in her company as much as you'd like to be. You've been quiet about these thoughts and had no intention to spill it out to Taylor. Now that she hadn't return home at the time Taylor said she promised she'd return. You decided that this was it, you were going to confront her weather she didn't want you to and started waiting up for her. You sat on the couch and flipped on the tv, looking for a show or movie to watch in the time being. Earlier, you've tried calling and texting her, having her getting fed up with it. A couple of times you started dozing off and pretty soon, you're dozing off when you suddenly the heavy front door slammed shut. You could already tell she was in a bad mood, not wanting to be around anyone at that moment and without thinking or realizing, you approach her.
She rejected your hug and sort of pushed away, causing you to begin asking questions although it didn't cross your mind until it was too late as the questions was released and there was no taking it back.
"What's wrong? Are you okay?" You ask gently, as you try to pick up her hand in yours.
Out of frustration, she swatted your hand away from hers and rolled her eyes.
"Don't tell me that you don't the answer to that."
"Well, where have you been this whole time?"
"I told you, just at the studio. Just drop the subject already, (Y/n). I'm in no mood." Taylor snaps, making her way to the kitchen.
Seeing that she was making herself something to eat, you decide to try again and push a little more, not thinking straight.
That only made things more intense between the two of you. What happened next, was unexpected and caused you to take a small step back.
"Taylor, what's going on? Is there something you're not telli-"
The next thing you know, you were caught off in mid sentence as the glass plate Taylor was handling was suddenly smashed into pieces while her voice raises more at you.
Those actions were the worst you've seen of her, and you looking at it like that. You step back a little just as Taylor turns to face you, an angry expression on her face. As Taylor's voice raises, it soon is followed by her basically shouting at you, causing you to jump in nearly pure fright.
"Shut up! Just shut up, okay?! I'm not in the right mood to be talking to anyone now, that includes you."
You could say nothing as the stinging of tears started up, but you held back and just nod your head in a panic before walking away.
Upon instinct, you rushed upstairs to your shared room as you hear more things getting thrown to the floor, causing the adrenaline in you to rush even more. You thought about locking the door behind you, but decided it would be better to do that on the bathroom door. Once you were locked in, you slowly slid down the wall and hid your face between your knees. You felt like you've been there for hours, because you didn't realize you had fallen asleep and now was waking with the morning light. The plan was for you to sneak out of the room without Taylor noticing, so you pressed your ear up against the door and listened to see if Taylor was asleep.
You don't hear anything, so what you did next was cracked the door just slightly, giving a little peak into the room. Taylor wasn't there and that was by little relief to you that you can sneak away without getting noticed. However, as you descend down the stairs, you hear light snoring from the living room, indicating that Taylor had slept out on the couch that night. Getting a closer look at her, you notice dried tears stains on her face as you could only shake your head at that before heading to the backyard and taking a seat on the swing, your back facing towards the door you came out of. As you sat there, you couldn't help but feel fresh as the fall wind blows very little, and it was enough of a distraction to not notice Taylor approaching.
Taylor gave you a scare as she very lightly embraces you.
Remembering last night's events, you stay still and anxiously wait for her to say something and she does.
"I think we need to have a little talk, don't you?" She asks seriously.
"If that's what you want.." You say with a slight nod of your head.
One of best things being put into your relationship with Taylor was the fact that even though you have disagreements, you were both willing to talk about it and resolve it together in some way.
This was another one of those times, Taylor doing most of the talking until it was your turn to say something about it or what you think you should both do to fix it. Now that it was your turn, you blurt out about how much you missed her when she was gone away and truthfully tell her about wanting to spend more time with her, not just on her days off, but for other times as well. You both discussed it and soon Taylor promises to see about rearranging her schedule with work to make that happen.
"I love you, (Y/n)."
"I love you, Taylor."
