Waking up in an empty bed wasn't new to you. Not even when the previous night had ended with you in the bed with someone else.

Wanda was always out of bed before you. Some might think it was because she was a morning person but you knew it was because she couldn't stand to see you after the events of night transpired.

A part of you wondered why you'd even bothered tracking her down. She had clearly moved into this cabin to be alone; to hide from all of her mistakes and wrongdoings. However when you heard about her actions in Westview your first thought was to track her down.

You didn't actually expect to find her so when you did you had no idea what to say. She had flung you back several feet before she had even answered the door.

When she exited the house and saw it was you she was upset. She didn't understand why you'd want to track her down and you didn't really understand it either. The best that you could come up with was that you thought she'd be lonely.

She'd let you stay with her after that day. It had been about three months since you had started living with her. It had been about two months since you started sleeping together.

You were still confused about how it happened. You had just gotten out of the shower and without any warning Wanda kissed you. "Kissed" isn't the right word, she attacked you.

Her lips were engulfing yours in an uncoordinated manner. Her goal wasn't to kiss you; she was trying to devour you. Her hands were on your chest pushing further and further back until you were on the bed.

You were going to stop her, you really were, but when you finally looked into her eyes that night she was begging you. She needed this and you were enjoying it so you let it happen.

Nothing was the same after that. That next morning was the first time you woke up to an empty bed. It was the first day that Wanda went and locked herself in the room with that book. It was the first day you questioned if you had made a mistake.

It was hard to tell because that night the same thing happened again and the night after that and the night after that. You and Wanda fucked almost every night and she never once stayed in bed with you till the next morning.

At first it didn't bother you much, she was grieving. She needed someone to take the pain away from her and you were that person. Knowing that you were helping Wanda was keeping you motivated but that feeling didn't last.

Soon your feelings of helping Wanda faded into causing yourself pain. It made you realize why you had even come to this cabin in the first place.

You loved Wanda. It was easy to see it and you're sure she could see it too. It's why she won't ever let you wake up next to her. You know for fact that she would feel entirely too guilty if she did.

She couldn't let herself love you; not after Vision or her kids. You couldn't blame her but everyday it was getting harder for you to stay with her.

You let your feet dangle over the edge of the bed as you sat up with your head in your hands. Your brain was running entirely too fast for your liking. Every thought centered around the idea of leaving the cabin.

" You're thinking too loud"

Wanda was leaning against the door frame staring down at you. When you saw her your thoughts instantly quieted. She always had that sort of way of focusing you.

She had a way of looking so effortlessly beautiful. A messy bun and a pair of overalls was enough to ease your mind a little.

" I'm sorry"
