Y/n didn't have an abundance of food in her kitchen. She lived alone and wasn't much of a chef. However, she assumed Wanda would need more than a frozen dinner.

She cooked one of the two things she knew how to make, spaghetti. While cooking, her doorbell rang.

A wave of panic rushed through her body for the nth time today. Her eyes darted to her living room, which was akin to a horror show. Blood stained her couch and pooled around her floor.

She planned to ignore the door, but the person rang again. Y/n steeled herself and went to the door. Looking through the peephole, she saw a blonde woman standing on the other side of her door.

She cracked the door just enough to speak to the woman.

" Hello?"

" Is Wanda here?"

Y/n's eyes widened. She lied on her feet," Who's Wanda?"

" You must be Y/n."

Y/n was paranoid with what the woman was saying. She slammed the door in the blonde's face and then ran up the stairs.

" Did you invite someone to my house? Blonde woman, a little shorter than you, button nose, scratchy voice."

" Blonde? I guess she's trying something new. Her name is Natasha, she's going to help me tie up our loose ends."

" Your loose end, not mine," Y/n leaves the room and goes back to the front door.

This time she opens it a bit wider," Name?"

" Natasha, it's nice to meet you."

Y/n hesitantly lets the woman into her house. Natasha's eyes shift over to the mess in the living room.

" I'll help you with that later, sweetheart."

Y/n's cheeks flush at the nickname. She struggles to form a sentence as Natasha walks through her house. The woman goes up the stairs without direction, Y/n trails behind her.

" Y/n told me you were blonde, but I just didn't believe it," Wanda teases the woman.

The woman smirks, pulling the hair right off of her head, revealing a wave of red similar to Wanda's," You know I'd never get rid of the red."

Y/n stands awkwardly in the doorway, watching their interaction. She finds herself feeling a bit jealous of their playful banter.

" Y/n, this is my best friend, Natasha. Natasha this is... Y/n."

" We've already met, and I never forget a name, especially when it's attached to such a beautiful face."

Y/n again finds herself heating up at Natasha's words," Um, thanks."

Wanda's eyes shift between the two, sensing she missed something," Y/n, do you think you can give us a couple of minutes to talk business."

At first, she's reluctant, but she nods anyway," Ok."

Y/n trails downstairs, suddenly remembering her pasta. Luckily, it hadn't burned with the heat being so low.

She wasn't privy to the conversation Natasha and Wanda were having. Some of it was about Wanda's attacker, but most of it was about Y/n. Natasha was curious how she fit into everything.

When Wanda told her, the former spy was surprised. She couldn't believe that the quiet and anxious woman in the kitchen had killed a man. Even if it was an accident. She was even more surprised when Wanda said this was the second time Y/n had saved her life.
